Westworld is an American futuristic science fiction Western television series that is the brainchild of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. The first episode premiered on October 2, 2016. The plot features a futuristic amusement park inhabited by android hosts designed to satisfy the appetites of rich guests who can indulge them all without consequences.

The show questions consciousness, morality, and the nature of reality. Westworld's debut on HBO had the network's highest viewership ratings for a premiere since the first episode of True Detective in 2014.
