Black Mirror is a British anthology television series that plays out within the darker edges of technology and its consequences for society. This anthology series portrays a standalone story, often set with a chilling twist, based on various speculative near-futures where technology has advanced in ways unanticipated or even disturbingly different from what we have today.
Such themes include social media addiction, watching and spying, artificial intelligence, and reality and virtual reality. This comes as a caution and, most of the time, as a warning, with possible dangers and consequences brought about by dependence on our growing reliance on technology.
