As the episode kicked start, the Too Hot To Handle: Germany contestants gathered in the common area where Lana revealed that Brendon and Laurenz hadn't broken any rules in the private suite, which doubled the group's total earnings to $62,000. She also surprised everyone with watches. As the group wore them, Lana explained how these watches would display either a green or red light.
When a couple makes a connection, Lana turns the green light on, which indicates that the rules are suspended for them as long as the light is on. While the cast members celebrated the news, Lana revealed how two contestants who hadn't shown much progress would receive the red light and be asked to leave the villa immediately.

For the challenge of the day, Lana decided to introduce two new members to the villa. Leonidas, a Greek guy, entered the villa and instantly caught everyone's attention. Samira's entrance worried a few ladies in the house.
Lana revealed that the new arrivals would have the chance to pick their first dates from the group. As the two sat down to have a conversation, Samira revealed how she had chosen Fabian for her first date. On the opposite side of the pool, Leonidas chose Jenny.
As Fabian and Samira went to get dressed for their dates, Lana revealed to the newbies how she had suspended all the rules of the retreat for their dates, offering them a free pass. The dates will continue in episode 6 of Too Hot To Handle: Germany.
