NBC's Season 26 of The Voice aired its first part finale on December 9, 2024. The latest episode from the singing competition featured the finalists delivering their final performance. There were two performances from each of the five finalists.
Fans enjoyed the performances, while judges shared their views on how the finalists performed in their final performances. One of the finalists, Danny Joseph, performed Amy Winehouse's Back to Black.
His second performance on The Voice finale was "Ain't No Love In Oklahoma" by Luke Combs. Team Reba finalist Danny's second performance, the late Amy Winehouse's cover, received appreciation from the coaches.
However, fans felt otherwise. Many fans took to social media platform X to share their views on Danny Joseph's finale performance.
One of the fans reacted on X,
"Sorry but Danny's voice is too gruff, gnarly, loud and sounds the same on all his songs, it's actually not that great #TheVoice."
Another fan wrote,
"Danny Joseph kicks us off, fighting against the tide, rocking out a Country tune, giving me Devil Went Down to Georgia vibes. He owned the stage, turned on his signature wail, and gave us a show. #TheVoice #VoiceFinale."
One more fan from The Voice commented on X,
"About danny's finale performance? well let's be honest. he still puts the emotion and grit he has into that. mostly people won't like it bc he made it through and all that, but this one i actually approve. but will it be enough for him to win tho? [#thevoice #voicefinale]."
For Danny's "second finale performance," an X user wrote,
"About danny's second finale performance? well... OMG HES SINGING BACK TO BLACK (even tho i recognize the chorus and not the full song). really fits his whole style, as well as a perfect performance as a whole altogether. [#thevoice #voicefinale]."
A netizen shared appreciation for Danny's performance,
"Danny Joseph with the surprise attack. Well played, sir. He laid this groove, gave us a lil growl but kept it sedate, intimate. Always love his guitar solos. He makes that axe sing. Enjoyed this take on Amy Winehouse immensely. #TheVoice #VoiceFinale."
Another fan reacted to Danny's rendition of Amy Winehouse's song,
"#TheVoice Danny. Poor Amy Winehouse. Didn't that woman go through enough? This might have been his best performance, but I still think he should stick to guitar."
An X user wrote,
"I wanna say this danny song is good but I wanna say this isn't reba season for back to back wins and i wanna say this I miss katie o she would of been a stand out in this voice show finale competition #TheVoice."
Another fan commented,
"Danny Joseph went to sing a song that was performed by a fellow Londoner artist, Amy Winehouse, "Back To Black". Very notable. #TheVoice #VoiceFinale."
