The Three Women season finale concludes the emotional stories of Lina, Sloane, Maggie, and Gia. Based on Lisa Taddeo’s book of the same name, the Starz show follows author Gia, who convinces three women to include their personal stories in her book.

Throughout the season, homemaker Lina, entrepreneur Sloane, and student Maggie pour their heart out to Gia, telling her intimate details about their family, love lives, sexual encounters, desires, and wishes.

The three get so engulfed in the process that they want to get a happy ending in their life and in the book. As the women go through complicated relationships, Gia faces her own issues and also goes through a health scare, which is addressed in the Three Women season finale.

Sloane and her husband, Richard, have an open marriage in Three Women, but there are rules they must follow to avoid hurting each other. Sloane breaks those rules when she has a deeper, emotional affair with Will.

Feeling betrayed, Richard makes her leave, and their marriage seems to be in trouble. During their time apart, Sloane shares her story with Gia. Talking about her life helps her realize she shouldn’t feel ashamed of her choices or let others judge her.

When Richard and even their daughter Lily call her hurtful names like ‘slut’, Sloane decides it is time to take control of her life and fight for what matters to her. Instead of apologizing, Sloane confronts Richard and tells him how much their marriage and family mean to her.

She refuses to let one mistake ruin everything they have built together and decides to let go of the fact that her husband called her a slut. Her honesty wins Richard over, and by the end of the episode, they are seen celebrating their daughter’s birthday together.

What does Gia’s cancer scan say?

Gia spends much of the first season of Three Women being afraid that she might have cancer. Losing her parents has left her terrified of death, and she often worries about leaving her daughter, Fox, without a mother. This fear drives her to finish her book.

Gia delays getting a cancer scan until after the book is done, and is determined to leave something behind in case the worst happens. After completing the book, she finally goes for a scan but the finale ends without revealing its results, leaving her future uncertain.

However, since Gia is based on the real-life author Lisa Taddeo, her cancer scan likely turns out to be negative. Taddeo had similar health fears that did not result in serious illness, and Gia’s story seems to mirror this.

Lina and Aidan do not end up together in Three Women episode 10. Their affair initially brings excitement and passion to Lina’s life, something she has been missing in her cold and distant marriage. But over time, Lina realizes that Aidan does not care for her as much as she cares for him.

Aidan keeps their relationship casual and on his terms, leaving Lina feeling unfulfilled. Her desperation to keep seeing Aidan leads her to neglect her responsibilities and she even risks her children’s safety. When her child falls into a toilet pit at a park, Lina gets a wake-up call.

She realizes that Aidan is not worth the sacrifices she is making, especially since he is not willing to cater to her emotional needs. In their final meeting at the river, Lina tells Aidan that she wants more than he can give and ends their relationship.

She gives him a pack of cigarettes, something she always brought to remind him of her. Instead of understanding the meaning of her gesture, Aidan tries to pay her back for the cigarettes, which deeply offends her. She drives away, letting the money fly in the wind as a way to reclaim her self-respect.

All episodes of Three Women are streaming on the Starz streaming service.
