Adapted from Lisa Taddeo’s bestselling nonfiction sensation, Three Women follows the emotional and sexual lives of its titular characters.
These women come from different families and open up about their unique personal experiences of confronting several challenges including desires, societal expectations, and journey to self-discovery.
The book came out in 2019 and quickly gained attention, intriguing readers with the real stories of three women named Maggie, Lina, and Sloane. Within a few years, the book was adapted into a limited TV series, with Lisa Taddeo being one of its executive producers.
While talking about the Starz series at the New York premiere, the author expressed gratitude and explained how the book resonates with people. Taddeo said:
"So I think it sort of came at the right time, and then the natural progression is to be able to tell another concentric circle of the story"
She added:
"And to be able to have done that on television with some of the most talented people I’ve ever met—this has been an honor I can’t even explain."
The story of Taddeo has been expanded through the TV series which has finally made its way to Starz and extensively covers the story shared by the women in the nonfiction book.

Three Women release schedule: when to watch new episodes of the limited series
Three Women is close to reaching its finale as only three episodes are left to come out on the network. The limited series premiered on Friday, September 13, 2024, and will run until the last episode comes out in mid-November.
Three Women episodes follow a 10 p.m. EST schedule on the traditional TV channel, whereas it comes out on the Starz app at midnight. You can also catch up with the three titular women by streaming the show on Hulu with a Starz subscription.

As mentioned above, Three Women follows the lives of Magiie, Lina, and Sloane who shared their stories with Lisa Taddeo. While the titular women's names remain the same in the TV series, the author's name has been changed to Gia. The main cast includes:
Betty Gilpin as Lina Parish: Known for her role as Debbie in Glow, Betty Gilpin is seen playing Lina, a housewife who resides in Indiana, United States. Lina feels trapped in her marriage as she didn't experience the physical intimacy with he husband.
She then decides to reconnect with her high-school boyfriend which brings her both, excitement and complications.
DeWanda Wise as Sloane Ford: The 40-year-old actress has secured the role of Slaone, a party planner. What makes Sloane's story interesting to explore is that she and her husband agreed to explore relationships beyond their marriage.
Gabrielle Creevy as Maggie Wilkin: Creevy's Maggie is the youngest among the three women, She belongs to North Dakota and opened up about her involvement with her high school teacher in the past.
Shailene Woodley as Gia Lombardi: Woodley portrays author Lisa Taddeo, whose name has been changed to Gia. In the TV series, Gia is seen as a distressed journalist who takes on a road trip for a project.
As she begins her task, Gia meets three different women and asks them to share their experiences in detail.
