Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary, despite his political vocalism, supports policies over politics. He does not care who the commander-in-chief is but does care about the execution of economic policies and how his clients and investors could benefit from it.
Some time ago, in July 2024, Kevin joined Chris Cuomo for an interview and talked about having no "political bone" about the 2024 US Presidential election. He was rather eyeing who could bring a positive impact on the implementation of policies, especially in the energy sector.
Chris and Kevin then chimed in on Donald Trump's comeback as the President for the second time and what it could mean for the economy. Kevin O'Leary emphasized Trump's promises to "execute a lot of things that matter to the country" and remarked that as an investor, he is open to any economic overhaul that could escalate the investment.
Shark Tank mentor Kevin O'Leary said:
"The thing about the economy is it's not partisan. The economy itself is bipartisan. There are as many Democrats who want jobs as there are Republicans. Those are my people. I don't care what your politics are when I'm investing in you I couldn't give a s**t. I just want to know can you execute."
Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary believes that effective policies are the key to winning independent votes
Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary has been eyeing the changes in economic policies since the 2024 US Presidential election was announced. He was looking forward to having a government that could give a push to investments in the energy sector, making it more attractive for investors.
During an interview, quite before the 2024 Presidential election, Kevin O'Leary told Chris Cuomon that he has to cater to all sorts of people, irrespective of their gender, political affiliation, or any other disguised feature. He believed that one could not attract independent voters by just being critical of each other. They will have to show what they can bring to the table in terms of policy.
Shark Tank mentor remarked:
"I am not sure that works when people are asking for policy. I don't care what party you're in if you keep saying the other guy's a bad guy that's not enough to win the hearts and minds of independent voters. You have to say here's my path for you independent voters."
Kevin further elaborated that providing a solution in factions like border security, foreign relations, and debt management is the real deal that attracts the voters in the end.
Kevin O'Leary is one of the lead sharks on Shark Tank US.
