"This is messy": Love is Blind fans criticize Joey for messaging Madison while he was still with Monica

Recently released Love is Blind Season 8 Reunion featured various confrontations from participants. In the March 9, 2025, episode of the social experiment, one of the male cast members, Joey, saw a revelation after his former connection, and Monica confronted him.

It started when the show host asked Joey if he was "totally transparent" about Monica. Joey responded:

"Yeah, I thought I was. I was always saying up until the end. I'm gonna wait until the end to make a decision."

However, Love is Blind star Monica shared her side and recalled how he was texting a fellow cast member when she was engaged to Joey. She remembered how she was "trying to get Joey to want me," he was "messaging in somebody else's inbox."

Later, upon being asked multiple times, Joey confessed that he messaged Madison. Witnessing that, fans took to the social media platform X and criticized the male cast member for his doings.

A fan wrote on X:

A netizen slammed Joey for his behavior with Monica during the social experiment:

An X user confronted Joey:

Love is Blind Season 8 Reunion: Monica confronts Joey while recalling him sliding into another cast member's DMs

During the social experiment's reunion, Love is Blind star Monica recalled learning about "a lot of things" during the past year. When the female host asked her to share more about it, she mentioned:

"Well, when we were at Buck Hill, the tubing place, it was the very first day that everybody from the pods here came together. I found this out a month ago that...next day or very, very shortly after...Mind you, we are still engaged, I have a ring on my finger. I'm sleeping next to this man. He slid into one of the other cast members' DMs after he saw her. And..I still don't know exactly what was said, and to be honest, I don't care."

Further, the female host asked Joey about the DMs.

Love is Blind star Joey stated that he "reached out" to a few people after because he liked to "check in" on people:

"And I felt like we had a lot of different like good connections in the pods and I just reached out and - - "

Again, when he was asked who the cast member was, Joey revealed it was Madison.

"And I was like, "Hey, it was good seeing you, liked your pink hair." And that's what I said."

The host then turned to Madison and asked her if that was it. In response, Madison recalled dating Joey during the pods phase.

Later, Joey added that now he could see how it bothered Monica. When Madison and Monica stated how they confronted Joey, which he refused, that it happened, Molly also jumped and confirmed that she was with Monica during one of the conversations.

When Joey's version of events was different than Monica's and Madison's, Monica stated that she felt "lead on" and did not feel "loved."
