"There are very real outcomes": Love is Blind's Lauren shares her doubts and potential of feeling "very hurt" with Dave

Love is Blind Season 8's second episode, Open Hearts, Open Minds, Can't Lose, aired on February 14, 2025. The latest season of the social experiment features 32 singles, both male and female, searching for their "true love."

The second episode featured two cast members, Dave (David), who works in medical device sales, and Lauren, who works in educational sales. As seen on the show's first episode, they went on a few blind dates and continued that during the second episode.

The Love is Blind's first episode ended with a shocking revelation: Lauren did not feel good. She learned that another cast member, Molly, also saw Dave as her potential connection. During her date featured in episode 2, Lauren shared:

"I think going into this, I had a fear that I wouldn't be able to fully, like, feel some of these feelings in a setting like this. And now I'm here, and I'm like, "Oh my God, I might be really vulnerable and open with someone, go all in, and really want a future with them and then not be chosen at the end of this." And I'm like, "Oh my God, this...There are very real outcomes in this that could leave me very hurt. And so..."

Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 2: Lauren opens up to Dave about their other connections

Love is Blind's first episode ended with Lauren learning about Molly being the other person also dating Dave (David.) However, she wasn't sure if Molly knew she was also dating Dave in the pods.

When Molly casually mentioned Dave as her "husband," Lauren did not take it well. Soon, Lauren had her next date with Dave.

During her next date with Dave, she told him:

"I kind of had a tough day yesterday. Like, there was a moment that I just started to get so in my head. It's kind of crazy how different my fears about all of this have changed in the last, like, 24 hours."

Love is Blind cast member stated that initially, she couldn't "feel these feelings." She mentioned the possibility of going "all in" with someone, and then she might not get "chosen" by the end of the experiment.

Lauren expressed her concerns and told Dave that "outcomes" could leave her "hurt." Dave agreed with what she was suggesting. Before her date with Dave, the female cast member seemed upset and emotional while telling the cameras about the situation.

Recalling her previous date with Dave, she mentioned that learning from Molly that her "number one person" was Dave, it felt like:

"A dagger to my heart. I have no idea if Molly knows that, like, I'm another person that he's talking to. If she does, I, like, I'm sad that that's like, something that she would be so casual about bringing up to me. Does she want me to know where her connection is at and start to doubt my own? I don't know the answer to that. She’s trying to date the person I want to marry. That f*cking sucks."

She also mentioned feeling like "running back" to the pod and asking Dave to explain himself. Lauren also stated that even after knowing her, there was a chance that someone else might get "picked" instead of her.
