The Wheel of Time Season 3 cast and character guide: Who plays whom in the Prime Video fantasy show

The fantasy epic series The Wheel of Time is set to return on Prime Video with season 3 on March 13, 2025. The series is based on the bestselling The Wheel of Time saga written by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. The third season of The Wheel of Time, which is set in the mythical world where women possess extraordinary powers, will bring forth the events from the fourth book, The Shadow Rising, which was released in 1992. In season 3, Rosamund Pike will reprise her role as Moiraine Damodred, the powerful Aes Sedai, who guides the Dragon Reborn, Rand al’Thor, played by Josha Stradowski. The outstanding ensemble cast of the series is all set to return for season 3.

The Wheel of Time is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. Rafe Judkins returns as the showrunner and executive producer. Season 3 of the series will premiere on March 13 with three episodes, and the remaining five episodes will air weekly thereafter.

The Wheel of Time series

The story follows a young boy who discovers that he is the Dragon reborn, destined to either save the world or destroy it. The force in this fantasy world is derived from the One Power, a magic source that drives The Wheel of Time. Certain people, referred to as channelers, can wield the One Power, which has the ability to heal or destroy the enemy. Aes Sedai is an organisation of free channelers who are all women.

In season 2, Moiraine discovers that Rand al’Thor is the Dragon Reborn. They go on a mission to stop the Dark One. However, they are unable to do so, and a war still remains at large.

What we know of Season 3?

The Wheel of Time Season 3 will continue the story of Rand al’Thor as his powers as the Dragon Reborn grow even more, and he is confronted with the choice between the light and the dark. His mentor, Moiraine, will help him find his true strength to defeat darkness. This season, we will get to see the city of Rhuidean, the deserts of the Aiel Waste, and the city of Tarabon.

The Wheel of Time season 1 premiered in 2021 and was a global hit. Prime Video had recently released an 11-minute clip from the new season, which is packed with action and drama.
