"The way he was approaching me and my family" - Love Is Blind's Lauren on why she ended it with Dave

Love is Blind couple Lauren and Dave hit a rocky road in their relationship upon returning from Honduras. It was revealed to Dave by his sister and friends that Lauren was seeing someone going into the experiment. However, she denies those claims, saying that she had broken up with the mystery guy.

Dave is not ready to believe her, as we saw in episode 11. The two had a conversation in a movie theatre about all these differences, and Lauren is again trying to explain that there was nothing romantic between her and him as it was just a physical relationship.

He does not believe her and says that his "friends and family won't lie" to him. This made Lauren question if she would lie to him, and Dave denies this aspect as well.

In a recent interview with People, Lauren talked about what her breaking point from the relationship and her last straw. Talking about the same, she said,

"I think that that conversation in the movie theater is my breaking point. You see him shift his tone a little bit and get angry with me and I'm like, this is not how my person will speak to me. We're done. It was the nail in the coffin for how emotionally drained I was."

She added,

"And then that's the way he was approaching me and my family. It's like, I can't. I've over-explained the s--- out of this situation. And nothing I say or do will make you look at it differently until you hear it from your friends."

Love is Blind couple Lauren and Dave's issues explored

Lauren, since Love is Blind episode 8, has been trying to tell Dave that the relationship she had with her past Hinge date was strictly 'friends with benefits' and nothing more. However, Dave does not believe it and says that it feels to him that her emotions were somewhere else while she was in the pods with him.

In a confessional, Dave revealed in the earlier episodes, that the guy Lauren was seeing was trying to reach out to her. He even lives in the same apartment complex that the Love is Blind couples have shifted into.

This is making it even harder for him. When he broke off the engagement with Lauren in the theatre, he said that his "pride" was getting in the way of being with her and that even if "love is blind, marriage isn't."

Even Love is Blind fans reacted to how Dave has been using this topic as an excuse for far too long now. This was when the two decided to call off their engagement and go their separate ways.

Lauren agreed to the notion but later, in a confessional, revealed that she felt Dave just didn't love her enough to stand up to his sister and friends. She also revealed a letter that she had written to his sister to explain her side of the story.

Lauren has been insisting to Dave that he let her meet with his family and friends so that she could come clean and explain her perspective. However, he had been holding off communication between the two while both sides had no clarity on the situation.

As for the letter, Dave did not give it to his sister, which made Lauren very frustrated. Overall, the issue was being dragged along but Lauren thought that this was "miniscule sh*t" if Dave had loved her enough to marry her. She thinks that this is something that could be easily sorted.
