The most recent episode of The Voice season 27 saw the premiere of the Knockout rounds. During these, two artists from each team will be pitted against each other, and the judge will ultimately decide whom they want to keep in the show.

This is the third stage of the competition, the first being the Blind Auditions, followed by the Battles round. After this, we will see the Playoffs, and the show will end with the Live Performances, where a winner for the season will be crowned.

As the Voice Knockouts began, the judges lost their power to save their team members from being eliminated. However, they still had the 'steal' option, which would help them in snatching any player they would like if their coach had rejected them.

We saw a lot of artists going home while some were saved by the steal feature. It was revealed by host Carson Daly that this stage of competition will ultimately end up with 16 contestants only that will enter the Playoffs round.

The Voice Season 27 Episode 9 - Who was eliminated?

The Knockouts on The Voice started with BD.ii going against Kolby Cordell. John, knowing that he can not save both of them, devised a plan so that the other judges would use their steal feature and keep them in the game.

Both of them sing around the same genre, and thus, John, with this Knockout, is trying to decide how they would fare if put up against each other.

BD.ii decided to sing 'Back at One' by Brian McKnight, and Kolby said he would do 'Lately' by Stevie Wonder. BD has always stuck with ballads, and this time also did a 90s theme around his performance.

However, his vocals were what John focused on instead of the external factors. Despite claiming that this was out of his comfort zone, BD gave an excellent performance and secured his position on Team Legend.

As for Kolby on The Voice, he has been doing uptempo songs for the past two rounds. However, this time he took up the Jodeci version of the song, which showcased his vocal range as an artist.

At the same time, during his performance on The Voice, Kolby connected with the audience and tried to entertain them by walking around and delivering a show, marking the sign of a true artist.

By the end of the performance, when John had picked up BD due to his vocals, Adam Levine and Michael Bublé saw an opportunity to grab Kolby for their teams, just as John had anticipated.

They get into a catfight and present their cases as to who will be a better coach for the singer. At the end, Kolby Cordell decided to enter Team Adam.
