The Voice Season 27 Episode 5 Recap: Teams for each mentor are formed as the next stage of competition begins

The Voice season 27's blind auditions officially wrapped up during the newly released episode 5. In this reality TV competition series, artists perform on stage, and after receiving a chair turn, they have to choose which mentor will guide them to the next stage of the competition.

With the battle rounds just around the corner, mentors John Legend, Adam Levine, Michael Bublé, and Kelsea Ballerini finalized their teams on the last night of blind auditions. What happened on The Voice Season 27 Episode 5?

The first artist to perform on The Voice season 27's final night of Blind Auditions was Jay Ammo, who performed The A Team on stage. All coaches were impressed by his "magical" voice and the essence he brought to the song itself while turning it into his own original. Despite struggling to maintain a uniform pitch, Jay received positive feedback from John, Adama, and Kelsea. When it was time for him to choose his mentor, Jay joined Team Legend.

Another one of the main highlights in this episode was Pablo Herrera, who received a three-chair turn for singing Jealous on stage. Kelsea stated that she would help Pablo recognize his strengths and guide him on this new journey toward achieving success as an artist. Meanwhile, John mentioned how he could enhance Pablo's storytelling ability further. Michael, on the other hand, predicted that Pablo could become a world-renowned singer and wanted to be there by his side. In the end, The Voice contestant ended up choosing to become a part of Team Legend.

With Team Legend already formed, Alanna Lynise's blind audition made John wish he had the chance to turn his chair one more time. Alanna's stage presence, as well as her ability to grab the audience's attention with her beautiful voice and structured notes, made all coaches want to work with her. Fast forward to her final decision: Alanna chose Kelsea as her mentor.

Toward the end of The Voice season 27, episode 5, the teams were formed for the upcoming battles. Team Legend consisted of artists Antonio Ramsey, Ari Camille, BD.ii, Bryson Battle, Jacquelyn George, Jay Ammo, Jordan Allen, Kolby Cordell, Nell Simmons, Olivia Kuper Harris, Pablo Herrera, and Renzo.

Meanwhile, Team Buble included talented singers such as Aaron Rizzo, Adam David, Alanna Lynise, Barry Jean Fontenot, Jadyn Cree, Braxton Garza, Carlos Santiago, Dimitrius Graham, Divighn, Kaiya Hamilton, Kameron Jaso, Naomi Soleil, and Ricardo Moreno.

Dan Kiernan, Angie Rey, Brook Wood, Hailey Wright, Iris Herrera, Jaelen Johnston, Jessica Manalo, Page Mackenzie, Robert Hunter, Simone Marijic, and Tatum Scott joined Team Kelsea during the final night of the blind auditions heading to the next stage of the competition on The Voice.
