The Voice Season 27 continued Monday night with more Blind Auditions as the coaches worked to fill their 12-person teams. The night featured fierce competition between Michael Bublé and Kelsea Ballerini, who battled for four different artists.

Meanwhile, Adam Levine scored a major victory by winning over Lucia Flores-Wiseman, the only four-chair turn of the night. John Legend used his Coach Replay on Antonio Ramsey after initially passing on him.

Coaches compete to assemble the best team through Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs, and Live Performance Shows in the four-time Emmy Award-winning program. Returning coach John Legend (in his tenth season), rookie Kelsea Ballerini, and Adam Levine (back for his seventeenth season after a break) were joined by defending champion Michael Bublé.

Legend had ten musicians after the episode, Bublé had ten, Ballerini had nine, and Levine had ten.

What happened in this episode of The Voice?

This episode of The Voice highlighted the growing rivalry between Michael Bublé and Kelsea Ballerini. Bublé in context to their competitive dynamic, joked:

"I feel like it's Wonder Woman vs. me, the guy who can shoot bow and arrows"

When 19-year-old Hailey Wright performed Freddy Fender's "Before the Next Teardrop Falls," both coaches fought for her. Despite Bublé's pitch, Hailey chose Ballerini, who had her demonstrate her yodeling skills with a quick rendition of "Blue."

The coaches also clashed over Dimitrius Graham, whose performance of "Get You" by Daniel Caesar impressed both.

"I don't know what the population of the United States is, but after that audition it might be double in nine months," Bublé quipped.

Despite Ballerini calling him "bad" and "gorgeous," Dimitrius chose Team Bublé, feeling his "artistry is gonna go to the next level" with Michael.

Kelsea summed up their rivalry perfectly:

"Michael and I are arch nemesai... is that how you say it plural?"

The most significant moment in this episode of The Voice came when 22-year-old Lucia Flores-Wiseman performed "La Llorona." Her powerful rendition earned turns from all four coaches, making her the only four-chair turn of the night.

Lucia, who proudly shared that she once sang with Brandi Carlile from her hometown of Maple Valley, Washington, showed immense potential with her effortless performance.

Despite strong pitches from all coaches, including John Legend comparing her to "Janis Joplin meets Amy Winehouse, but make it Spanish," Lucia chose Team Adam, giving Levine a potential frontrunner.

One of the night's most dramatic moments came when Antonio Ramsey, a dancer from Florida, performed "Every Little Step" by Bobby Brown. Initially, none of the coaches turned. However, when Legend asked him to sing something a cappella, Antonio was impressed enough to earn Legend's Coach Replay—the last one available this season.

Legend also added impressive vocalists Kolby Cordell with "Never Too Much," Olivia Kuper Harris with "Dream a Little Dream of Me," and Nell Simmons with "Love Hangover" to his growing team.

Not every audition resulted in a chair turn. Despite Emily McGill's heartfelt account of paying tribute to her late father's musical history, her performance of Fleetwood Mac's "Gold Dust Woman" did not impress the coaches.

Similarly, Elliott Fleetwood's performance of "Cough Syrup" by Young the Giant showed promise but didn't secure a position on any team, quite possibly due to the fast-filling rosters.

The episode also featured abbreviated looks at Aaron Rizzo and Kameron Jaso (both joining Team Bublé) and Nell Simmons (Team Legend), whose auditions were only briefly shown.

The teams come together in preparation

As The Voice Blind Auditions near completion, the coaches' teams are revealing distinct identities. Ballerini continues to dominate in country music, adding Hailey Wright and Robert Hunter to her roster. Hunter's selection was particularly touching when his young daughter came on stage and picked "Kelsea Ballerina" for him.

Bublé has built a diverse team with soul singers like Dimitrius Graham and Kaiya Hamilton, while Legend's team features versatile vocalists with classical training.

Adam Levine, who previously used his Coach's Replay and block, strengthened his team with Fran Posla and secured what could be the season's strongest competitor in Lucia Flores-Wiseman.

With only a few spots remaining on each team in this season of The Voice, the stakes will be even higher when the Blind Auditions continue.

The Voice airs live on NBC at 8 p.m. ET and streams on Peacock the next day.
