The Voice Season 27 Episode 10 Recap: The Knockouts Round continues as judges select contestants for Playoffs

The Voice season 27, episode 10 was a continuation of the Knockouts' second round as the judges John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé, and Adam Levine chose artists for the next stage of the competition.

By the end of the episode, Team Legend consists of Ari Camille, BD.ii, Bryson Battle, Jacquelyn George, Nell Simmons, Olivia Kuper Harris, and Renzo. Meanwhile, Team Buble includes Adam David, Angie Rey, Barry Jean Fontenot, Carlos Santiago, Jadyn Cree, Kaiya Hamilton, and Kameron Jaso.

Alanna Lynise, Hailey Wright, Iris Herrera, Jaelen Johnston, and Tinika Wyatt have joined Team Kelsea. Additionally, Britton Moore, Conor James, Darius J, Ethan Eckenroad, Kolby Cordell, and Lucia Flores-Wiseman are a part of Team Adam.

The Voice season 27, episode 10, titled The Knockouts Part 2, was released exclusively on NBC. The episode synopsis mentions:

"Adam Levine, Michael Bublé, Kelsea Ballerini and John Legend each pair two artists to perform solo against each other, then select a winner to move on to the playoffs; each coach has one steal."

What happened on The Voice season 27 episode 10?

The second round of The Voice season 27 began with the judges selecting one of the contestants during the faceoffs. Each mentor must split their team into pairs of two as they would perform their separate songs on the stage. After the performances conclude, the judges have to make a decision of who will make it to the Playoffs. Other mentors have the option to steal artists from other teams as well.

One of the main highlights of this episode was Divighn vs Kaiya Hamilton's performance. Both the Team Bublé artists managed to showcase their singing abilities and impress the judges. Davighn sang Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5. Adam praised Divighn for him to dance alongside delivering "a rock-solid vocal." He continued:

"I always secretly dread when people do our songs because I’m so close to it. It makes me nervous. But I love what you did with it. The fact that you can get up there and move…and deliver a rock-solid vocal."

Despite The Voice season 27 artists' engaging stage presence, Michael ended up choosing Kaiya due to her strong, powerful vocals. Kaiya sang Here by Alessia Cara, which highlighted her unique voice as she showcased her skills. For Team Legend, Bryson Battle and Tatum Scott performed on stage.

Bryson sang Ain’t No Way by Aretha Franklinxi meanwhile, Tatum sang Stick Season by Noah Kahn. Both singers had a different approach to their respective songs. However, John chose Bryson for the upcoming Playoffs as he felt Bryson's vocal range and uniqueness was something he had never seen before.

The Voice season 27 judge Kelsea chose Alanna Lynise, who sang I’ll Never Love Again by Lady Gaga. On the other hand, Adam selected Ari, who sang Love Like This by Faith Evans.

As the competition was between Ari Camille and Britton Moore, and Ari was already selected for the next round, this meant that Britton's journey on the show was about to end. However, John used his steal button and welcomed Britton into his team.
