Season 26 of The Voice wrapped up on December 10, with Sofronio Vasquez taking the big win for Team Bublé. The coaches for this season included two returning members of the hot red chair group, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. Joining these two OGs were two first-time judges, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé.
Michael's debut on the show turned out to be an incredible success for him as his teammate, Sofronio, not only won the show, but Shye from his team became the runner-up. Continuing his win, Bublé will be making a comeback on season 27 of the show, set to air on ABC on February 3, 2025.
Following Sofronio and Shye, Sydney Sterlace from Team Gwen made it to the top three. However, Danny Joseph from Team Reba and Jeremy Boloate from Team Snoop simultaneously got 4th and 5th place.
Rumors about Gwen Stefani might quit The Voice
Gwen Stefani's journey on the show
A singer and a soloist, Gwen Stefani has been a coach on The Voice for 8 seasons. This included seasons 7,9,12,17,19,22,24, and 26. Over these years, she had been able to win only once, back in 2020, and now, in season 26, she made it to the top three with her finalist, Sydney Sterlace.
Gwen even met her now husband, Blake Shelton, on the show. He served as a coach for 23 seasons, and during this journey, he crossed paths with Gwen. The two started dating and eventually tied the knot in 2021. Blake decided to retire from the NBC show in 2023, two years after their marriage.
Rumors about Gwen's exit
After the wrap of season 26, an insider from the show left a comment on The US Sun and revealed how Gwen was an "emotional wreck" throughout this season,
“It was nonstop emotions, crying throughout this entire journey but you can tell it’s mostly rooted in joy and deep pride for the work she’s done."
The insider also indicated that she might be thinking of quitting the show. Though no official announcement has come out yet, according to the insider, "all signs are pointing" to this decision.
Some believe that Gwen's decision might be inspired by her husband, Blake. With him no longer being on the coach's panel of The Voice and focusing on his career, she might also follow the same path. The insider reveals,
“She really found a second home in Oklahoma and seeing Blake walk away from the show and prioritize his own music and their family life, I think made her realize what her next chapter can look like."
With the recent launch of her 5th solo album, Bouquet, after 7 years, Gwen Stefani might actually focus on her own music.
An insider from The Voice Season 26 talks about the possibility of coach Gwen Stefani quitting the show forever as she won't be returning on season 27 of the show set to air on ABC on February 3, 2025. This season's coach panel includes former coaches Michael Bublé, Adam Levine, John Legend, and first-time coach Kelsea Ballerini.
