The Voice Season 26 released the last Knockout round on Monday, November 18, on NBC. The completion and stakes were high as it was the last opportunity for the four judges - Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Buble to steal, save, and choose the best of the best for the Playoffs. In the Playoffs, only 20 out of 36 artists would be participating to claim their spot in the semi-finals.

As the last rounds of Knockout battles were about to start, a piece of shocking news followed during the rehearsals, as the coach, Gwen Stefani, revealed to the Megamentor, STING, that only two artists, Jan Dan, and Sydney Sterlace, would be performing in the Knockouts from her team, citing the unannounced exit of Mor Ilderton from her team.

She told STING:

"We had Mor, who I stole, but he had to go home, so it’s just going to be the two of them."

Mor Ilderton was the second artist to leave The Voice Season 26 abruptly. Before his departure, Tanner Frick from Team Bublé had also left the competition before the Knockout rounds began. Tanner exited during rehearsals for the first Knockout round on November 11, 2024. Fans were left speculating about the reason for his departure, as no official statement was released regarding this matter.

The Voice coach Gwen stole Mor Ilderton from Team Buble because of his "unique raspy tone"

Mor Ilderton, a 20-year-old from West Virginia, quit The Voice Season 26 during the third and final Knockout round, which aired on November 18. Mor originally belonged to Team Bublé and received a three-chair turn during his blind auditions.

After mesmerizing coaches by performing Coal by Dylan Gossett in the Blind auditions, he was approached by Snoop Dogg, Reba, and Michale. Mor decided to go with Team Buble as he advanced in the show. During the Battle round, he was pitted against Kiara Vega to perform Iris by Goo Goo Dolls.

Michael chose Kiara Vega as the winner. However, Mor Ilderton was stolen by Gwen Stefani, who could not ignore Mor's peculiar tone, which lured her to keep him in her team.

As Gwen Stefani stole Mor Ilderston from Michael Buble, she opened up about the choice and said:

"I just had to Steal Mor. I just got this feeling, ‘I know what to do with that guy.’ My favorite thing about Mor’s voice is it has a unique raspy tone. When you hear music out there, his voice feels like what’s happening right now in the world.”

Nevertheless, Team Gwen could not see one of his most promising artists advancing to the Playoffs, as Mor left The Voice unexpectedly. Team Gwen, Jan Dan, and Sydney Sterlace performed in the Knockout Round 3, and both artists retained a spot in the show. Sydney Sterlace was declared the winner, whereas Jan Dan was saved by Gwen.

As of now, no official statement has been made regarding Mor Ilderton's departure from the show. The best shot that fans could take is that The Voice artist was about to launch an album called Stranger on November 22, 2024, as he announced on his Instagram a week ago.

The Voice Season 26 airs new episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm EST on NBC.
