The Voice Season 26 kicked off the Knockout rounds on November 11, 2024, and the four coaches—Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani—were accompanied by "Megamentors"- STING and Jennifer Hudson—to pick the best for the next phase of the show. In Knockout rounds, contestants will be allowed to choose their songs, unlike battle rounds, where coaches decide the song for them.

Each team will be divided into three different groups comprising three artists in each group. These three artists will compete with each other to win their spot in the next phase or get stolen by another coach. The one to neither win nor get stolen would be eliminated.

In Episode 12, Knockout premiere, in the first round, Austyns Stancil gave an outstanding performance and moved Snoop Dogg and STING to tears as he finished his rendition of Dance with My Father by Luther Vandross. Austyns, Christina Eagle, and Jake Tankersley were competing against each other.

Christina performed My Church by Maren Morris, and Jake Tankersley sang Luke Combs' Going, Going, Gone. Austyns emotional performance made him win the battle, while Snoop Dogg saved Christian, and Team Gwen stole Jake.

"That's real music"- The Voice coach Snoop Dogg praises Austyns for his heartfelt performance

As Austyns Stancil delivers an honest and passionate performance dedicated to his father on his one-year death anniversary, the coach Snoop Dogg and Megamentor STING cannot stop their hearts from melting. In the rehearsals, Snoop Dogg encouraged the singer to take out all the grief and direct all of it into his Knockout performance on The Voice.

As Austyns performance ended, almost all the coaches were moved to tears and could not hold back from praising him for his strong and genuine performance. All the coaches noted that it was a tough performance for Austyns, but he managed to sweep the victory with his R&B song. Reba McEntire said:

"It's so amazing how healing music is. Your Dad's not with us, my Dad's not with us, so this is a song that goes to the heart. Very powerful."

The Voice coach Michael Bublé said:

"You just came out and sang one of the great songs from Luther Vandross, you need to be special if you're gonna do that. If I was Snoop, I would probably have to pick you."

Snoop Dogg and STING, who tutored him during rehearsals on overcoming emotional spite and focusing on the performance, were equally emotional by his performance. STING mentioned that Austyns performed his song with "such sweet regret" that it touched his heart.

"Reba was crying, I was crying, I'm trying to hold 'em, push 'em back up, but...nothin' I can do about 'em, they're just gonna keep falling, Truly honored to have you on my team."

He further added:

"Austyns was the winner based on spirit, personality, and how he composed himself to hold in all of that pain and all of that loss to give us a great performance. Can't stop emotion when emotion hits you. Tears start falling, chills on your back, that's real music, that's real singing."
