Recently aired The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 Reunion episode on Netflix featured five couples, among which were Zaina and J.R. Fans witnessed how they navigated throughout the experiment. However, the show ended with the couple parting ways with each other.
While Zaina thought their relationship could progress, J.R. thought he was not ready. He told Zaina he wasn't at "that point" where he could give her what "she deserves."
During the show's reunion, the couple discussed what happened and why their relationship didn't work out.
J.R. revealed after the show ended, they both moved to their separate places, and he told Zaina:
"I needed time to process things. And she wanted to go back to what we were doing, and ignore the whole experience, and get back together. She was upset that we didn't spend Christmas together."
However, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 star Zaina mentioned that they spent Christmas together, where she got him a gift, and he got her a gift "three days later." J.R. mentioned they needed to take time "apart" after breaking up, which Zaina was upset about.

"We were still broken up, but we were still talking on the phone, two o'clock on the morning, we were still seeing each other. We celebrated his birthday....We spent Thanksgiving together. We went to Soho House for Thanksgiving together."
However, J.R. was adamant about his views and said he did all those things because Zaina asked him to do so. The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star Zaina shared that they were in a "gray area", and then J.R. asked her for some time "to process things." He was referring to things that "happened on the show."
"He refused to give me any type of closure. I would ask, "Okay, during this break, are we dating other people?" That's a valid question to ask. That is asking for clarity. That is not being controlling. You kept trying to say, "Why are you controlling?"
Zaina and J.R. argued about who said what and shared their perspectives on how particular things happened. While J.R. said Zaina was "trying to manipulate the situation," Zaina said she had been "asking for clarity."
On The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 reunion, Zaina shared that she was "left distraught" and confused. She also mentioned how J.R. didn't "give closure" to their three-year relationship. While J.R. felt:
"I hadn't given her closure because I'm still processing things. We never put a timeline on closure. I've been working on myself. I've been on a journey of self, and she's asked me..."Where are we? Where are we at?" I'm not at a place where I can speak on our relationship."
He added that they went through "a lot" and that he was "still processing" things. Zaina felt that J.R. was not going to propose to her. They shared their sides of things and incidents between them since The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On ended.
