Trust is a delicate concept. You're exchanging secrets over the castle walls one minute, and then you're abruptly removed from the game. This is the harsh reality of The Traitors, the BBC's most captivating psychological game show that has made strategic deceit a national obsession.

As the show's third season came to a thrilling conclusion on January 24, 2025, Jake Brown and Leanne Quigley emerged as the most devoted survivors and took home an incredible £94,600 prize cash.

This isn't just another reality show. The Traitors is a high-stakes social experiment where contestants live together in a Scottish castle, with some secretly designated as "traitors" plotting to eliminate the "faithful" players. It's a game of psychology, strategy, and nerves - where a wrong glance, an ill-timed pause, or a suspicious whisper could seal your fate.

Season 3 pushed these psychological boundaries further than ever, delivering moments of pure dramatic gold that kept over nine million viewers glued to their screens.

What happened in the finale episode of The Traitors UK Season 3?

The finale was filled with tension and unexpected twists. When Francesca Rowan-Plowden revealed her actual identity through the game-changing "Seer" surprise, Charlotte Berman, the lone traitor left, faced her final test. Charlotte frantically attempted to persuade the group of her innocence during the last roundtable, which turned into a fight for trust.

Charlotte was expelled by the devoted competitors in a thrilling 4-to-1 vote, guaranteeing that only devoted players stayed in the game. Jake and Leanne were the only two remaining after Alexander Dragonetti and Francesca Rowan-Plowden were eliminated in the following rounds.

Meet the winners: Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown

Leanne Quigley, a 28-year-old veteran from Holywell, North Wales, brought a unique blend of vulnerability and strength to the competition. Before the finale, she shared her emotional journey in a candid interview.

"Completely overwhelmed and it was so unexpected," Leanne admitted.

"I'm proud of myself that I haven't slipped up on my job situation just yet and I'm just happy to be here!"

Initially feeling out of her depth among larger-than-life personalities, Leanne focused on survival and strategy. Her victory meant more than just prize money. As she poignantly explained:

"It gives us another chance to have another baby and expand our family. It's something for my little boys to look back at in a couple of years and think, wow, my mum did that."

Jake Brown, a 28-year-old project manager from Barrow-in-Furness, brought inspiration and determination to the competition. His participation went far beyond winning a prize.

"I feel very blessed and lucky to be here," Jake shared.

He elaborated:

"I've met so many wonderful people on this journey from all different walks of life and I've loved every minute."

For Jake, The Traitors was a platform to challenge perceptions and represent the Cerebral Palsy and disability community. He explained:

"One of the big reasons I came on the show was to show that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Also to be able to give something back to my wife and my family as they've always been my biggest supporters and given me confidence in myself."

His approach to the game was strategic yet humble. "It helps when you spot a Traitor early on," Jake reflected.

"I knew I needed luck, but a lot of it is building friendships and relationships and there is also a bit of skill involved, finding Traitors and being good at Missions - but I didn't expect to get this far so I'm pretty lucky."

A victory of trust and friendship

In the end, Jake and Leanne's victory was a testament to their ability to navigate the complex social dynamics of The Traitors. By remaining faithful to each other and the game's core principles, they outsmarted the traitors and secured their place in reality TV history.

With over nine million viewers and a format that keeps audiences guessing, The Traitors has solidified its place as one of British television's most compelling and innovative shows. Jake and Leanne's journey proves that sometimes, trust truly is the greatest strategy.
