The trailer opens with John being given his 'first real undercover assignment'. After listening to the instructions as John and Celina proceed to take their seats on a bus, they find themselves in an unusual hostage situation. A man with a bag shouts,
"Listen up there is a bomb in this bag. Do exactly as we say or everyone dies."
As the team realizes their colleagues are in grave danger, they notify the bomb squad. However, the bus under hostage does not stop and loses control as shown at the end of the trailer. Celina warns the people on the bus to get ready for a collision,

The Rookie Season 7 Episode 10, Chaos Agent' was released on ABC on March 18, 2025, at 9 pm ET. The synopsis of the episode reads,
"John, Lucy, and Angela investigate the suspicious stabbing of three teenage girls. Back at the station, the team experiences technical difficulties while managing a group of prisoners and a wild animal."
In this episode, three teen girls, Ava, Grace, and Charlotte were found stabbed in a park. When the investigation for the crime began it unraveled some shocking truths. As Grace survived the attack, it was revealed that the two other girls had pre-planned to kill Grace after luring her to a slumber party. The teen girls blamed it on an AI, Zuzu for convincing them to kill their friend Grace.
On the other hand, Chen uncovered some disturbing lies about Seth's cancer diagnosis, when she began a medical investigation into his medical history.
Meanwhile, at the station, raccoons caused a power outrage leading to a prisoner's escape. However, Bradford's quick action saved the day as he shot the missing prisoner.
When Chen informed Lieutenant Grey about Seth's lies, he ordered a fresh set of blood tests for Seth. Seth refused to give his blood samples and get tested and called it 'discrimination' which led to his arrest.
