Shonda Rhimes is once again exploring a scandal in the White House with Netflix's The Residence, with creator Paul William Davies.

After success with her ABC series Scandal, which ran for seven seasons, Davies and Rhimes have bought another scandal set in a fictionalized White House.

When a murder happens during an important state dinner in the White House, consulting Detective Cordelia Cupp is brought in to solve the case and find the killer among the present 157 guests, who are all possible suspects.

The show will premiere on Netflix on March 20, 2025.
