What was the ending of The Recruit season 2 all about?

The Recruit Season 2 was replete with high-octane drama and intriguing twists and turns. Upon being sent to South Korea to investigate the origins of the cryptic letter, Owen Hendricks discovered to his dismay that Jang Kyun, being a National Intelligence Service agent, is also a graymailer who is threatening to reveal CIA secrets if the agency doesn't assist him.

On the other hand, Nichka is loyal to the Russians and is sent on her mission to intercept and hand over Hendricks and Jang Kyun. In her bid to ensure her mission's success, Nichka ended up killing Dawn.

Moving onwards through danger and peril, Hendricks tries his best to Nan Hee, Jang Kyun's wife, from the Yakuza. Hendricks, Jang-Kyun, and Nan Hee eventually escape the clutches of the Yakuza and the Russian mafia. After being rescued by Hendricks' childhood friend Yoo Jin in her father's boat, the Russian Coast Guard soldiers pick up their trail and give chase.

Eventually, a large US submarine appears just in time to say Hendricks and his party. The naval officer in charge of the submarine takes them in and jokingly remarks that he never misses out on an opportunity to irk the Russians.

Noah Centineo opens up about The Recruit Season 2

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Noah Centineo opened up about the second season of the Alexi Hawley led show. He stated:

"There’s way more action in this season, Owen’s finding himself fighting a lot more, getting thrown over things way more often."

Centineo added:

"It’s like Season 1 but pumped up on a lot of adrenaline and very high octane… In the first season, (Owen) was just getting the s**t kicked out of him. If Owen’s taking punches left and right in Season 1, he starts to give them back in Season 2, and I think that’s exciting and cool and you can watch him mature as a character."

The Recruit is exclusively available on Netflix.
