Real Housewives of Potomac released episode 7 on November 17, where the housewives were seen taking some big steps and introducing each other's partners during the party thrown by Jessi for Darius. One of the key highlights was Ashley Darby meeting her mother and chiming in about her ongoing divorce talks with her attorney.

For fans of the Real Housewives of Potomac, the storyline has been quite clear, particularly regarding Ashley's struggles since announcing her separation from her husband, Michael, in April 2022. However, fans received some positive news in Episode 7 when Ashley revealed to her mother, Sheila Matthews, that she had met with an attorney and they may have established a "timeline" for her situation.

Ashely told Shiela that:

"Thankfully, she says I can be signing by June. That’s a month!”

Ashley's mother had a sigh of relief as it was a "big step" for the Real Housewives of Potomac star and her two sons, Dylan and Dean. Sheila mentioned that she was "very proud" of Ashley as it was a tough journey especially going public with the divorce announcement and the constant chatter around it.

She also told Ashley:

"You deserve to move on and have someone in your life that is kind to you and treats you the way you like being treated."

"My confidence certainly took a hit"- Real Housewives of Potomac's Ashley opens up about her separation from Michael

Real Housewives of Potomac star and mother of two Ashley Darby is set to take a big leap in her professional life, as suggested by the latest episode of the show. The singer and TV personality has been part of the show since its inception and has been candid about her ups and downs in personal and professional life.

The Miss District of Columbia winner got married to Michael Darby, an Australian realtor and restaurateur, in 2014. The couple shared a long marriage and have two children. However, after the birth of her second son Dylan, Ashley soon announced her separation from Michael in 2022. On April 19, 2022, Ashley exclusively shared with The Daily Dish that:

"Almost eight years ago, when Michael and I said ‘I do,’ we anticipated sharing every single day together from that moment forward. Unfortunately, that is not our current reality. We have decided to separate."

However, the couple was not legally divorced, and now Ashley has taken a big step in that direction as she has come up with a time. In episode 7, she also opened up about how she held up after the separation. She told the producers of Real Housewives of Potomac in episode 7:

"So, my confidence certainly took a hit after I left Michael. But, since I’ve experienced being a mom on my own, I’ve turned a corner.”

Ashley has been quite vocal about her struggles as a single mother in the show and through her social media. She told the producers that "she was in a better space compared to 2022, and now when she looks in the mirror, she can recognize herself.

Ashley also shared sneak peeks of her dating life with Andy Cohen during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen February 2024 episode and mentioned metaphorically to Andy that she was open to “test drive some cars” and discovering the one for her.

Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, aired Episode 7 on November 17, 2024, on Bravo.
