The Real Housewives of London has been confirmed by Hayu recently. The Real Housewives franchise has been a game-changer when it comes to redefining reality TV. The show follows rich ladies and their lifestyles around their families and collectively as friends.

The Real Housewives of London will be the first original series by Hayu. The network has not released a lot of details about the same, but fans are comparing it with Bravo's series Ladies of London.

The series was confirmed back in October 2024 during the Hayu FanFest. The event was attended by reality TV stars such as Lisa Barlow, Jessel Taank, Suttin Stracke, and Ashley Darby. When the creators announced the show, the audience erupted into applause and cheers.

The Real Housewives of London Details

While announcing the series, Hendrick McDermott said:

“Tonight’s announcement of The Real Housewives of London is Hayu’s first ever commission of an original series and yet another key milestone in the growth story of our all-reality streaming service.”

He is the managing director of Hayu and EMEA Networks while also working at NBC Universal. Talking about the show, he continued:

“It makes sense that such an iconic location in the UK—a core Hayu market—would feature into our strategy to further amplify our offering with original content that super-serves loyal fans. We look forward to being the exclusive home of this latest installment in the wildly popular The Real Housewives franchise.”

Hayu also went on to Instagram to release the news of the show. In the post, we can see them confirm a release year as 2025 although an exact release date is not known. The caption for it reads:

"Breaking news from #HayuFanFest: Hayu will bring you The Real Housewives of London in 2025! Nobody serves a good cup of tea like the British—and London’s finest are ready to spill it."

The show will be produced by Hayu and Monkey. This is the same team that has previously worked on Made in Chelsea.

As for the cast, the creators have not confirmed any. They are still in the process of casting. The announcement has fans excited and they are already calling out for their favorite group to be cast. Here is one of the tweets shared by a fan on X (formerly Twitter).

The Real Housewives of London compared to Ladies of London

Fans are comparing this show to Ladies of London, which aired 10 years ago. There has never been a Real Housewives franchise in London yet, but it can be expected that the new series might have some similarities to this older show.

The series also might tend to the British stereotypes as mentioned in the Instagram post by Hayu. These might be high tea and drama. Fans have seen before with The Real Housewives franchise that they tend to bring in this culture with whatever location is being produced.

Like in Beverly Hills we see the "brand" such as "rodeo drive" and "dogs in pushchairs". So we can expect a similar but something that is more tailored to what London represents globally to other people.

Fans are expecting their favorite ladies to join the show, meaning guesses regarding the same. Some say it might be Molly Mae Hague. However, nothing has been confirmed by her side. Some others expect Trinny Woodall to join or Caprice Bourret whom we have seen earlier in Ladies of London.

The Real Housewives of London release date yet to be confirmed

Hayu has not yet confirmed the release date of The Real Housewives of London. However, filming is to start soon, in the first quarter of 2025. This will give ample time for the creators to edit and make the series available for release by the end of 2025. Even in the Instagram post, it says

"The Real Housewives of London, stepping out in 2025."

The series will be released on Hayu.
