What happened on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16, Episode 6?
On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16, Episode 6, Porsha opened up about her relationship with Simon Guobadia. As viewers already know, they are both in the legal process of going through a divorce. While processing this information and adjusting to the new chapter of her life, Porsha shared that she wished she and Simon could be on good terms after the divorce.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star told her fellow cast members that she and Simon had made plans about their future and were looking forward to expanding their family. However, their split caused a rift among them, as Porcha's daughter Pilar Jhena "PJ" McKinley also questioned Simon's absence. She got teary-eyed and said,
"I couldn't even breathe. His read receipts are on, and he literally read it and never responded. And I was just like, 'Wow.' Like, we're talking about the kids."
Later in the episode, during her confessional interview, Porsha stated that Simon made her "feel safe" and secure with "him being with Pilar." Porsha concluded that she didn't love him anymore, as he wasn't the same person with whom she had a comfort level. She continued:
"One of the main things that attracted me to Simon was feeling safe. I felt, you know, secure in my life with him being with Pilar. Like, everything felt right. He presented this entire life in person that I have been looking for. And that mirror was shattered because it just wasn't real."
Additionally, Shamea Morton decided not to address her feelings with Porsha after Angela Oakley's dinner. Shamea had played her song, which Porsha thought was sung by Drew Sidora. In her confessional interview, Shamea told the cameras that her song was "disrespected in a way," but she understood that Porsha was going through a tough time in her life. She said,
"I definitely prioritize Porsha's feelings over mine. . . . I'm a people pleaser. I never want to hurt people's feelings. I always want people to leave me better than [how] they came to me."
