In the previous episode, 2:00 PM, Dr. Collins suffered a miscarriage but decided to keep it a secret from her team. She performed an ultrasound on herself, and although Robby noticed something was wrong, she pushed him away.
Meanwhile, Louie ended up in the hospital again, and Santos remained suspicious about his vitals. However, she had to pause her investigation to assist with an amputation case. Meanwhile, Amber, a young girl who had drowned, was brought in. The doctors made all the efforts to restart her heart, but she did not survive.
Later, Dr. King comforted Amber’s little sister, Bella, by using a stuffed bear to help her express her feelings. In another case, an elderly patient named Willie was admitted due to a malfunctioning pacemaker.
The doctors soon learned that he had been part of the Freedom House Ambulance Service, a groundbreaking emergency team. His visit reminded Robby of some painful memories of his late mentor, Dr. Adamson.
Meanwhile, Javadi finally stepped out of her mother’s shadow as she proved her skills by discovering that a patient’s pain was caused by a black widow spider bite. The episode ended on a sad note as a young man named Nick died of an overdose. His parents decided to donate his organs, giving others a chance at life.
