The upcoming episode is named 1:00 P.M. Now that the ER shift has reached midday, the pressure is only going to increase on the staff as more patients are admitted to the hospital. The preview shows Dr. Collins still dealing with the case of the pregnant teenage girl and her mother.

The doctor fortunately looks fine, despite being shoved during an argument between the mother and daughter. While the teenager is adamant about not going back to her mother, the latter wants her to return home. Dr. Collins is stuck between the two and tells the mother to understand her daughter’s situation.

Meanwhile, emergency cases keep arriving in the hospital, and the staff not only has to deal with the patients but also their relatives who are hiding things for unknown reasons. The episode might also explore how Dr. Robby would handle the situation after his confrontation with the management over low satisfaction ratings by patients.

What happened in the previous episode of The Pitt?

In The Pitt episode 6, titled 12:00 PM, Dr. Santos learns a hard lesson about not being arrogant. While trying to insert a chest tube, she accidentally dropped a scalpel on Dr. Garcia’s foot. This mistake hurt not only Garcia but also strained their mentor-student relationship.

Garcia then tried to teach humility to Santos. At the same time, Robby was still dealing with PTSD from working in the ER during COVID-19. He struggled emotionally when he had to tell a family that their son was brain dead. Even though this was hard for him, Robby stayed strong and professional.

On top of that, the hospital’s administrator, Gloria, brought in Dr. Tracy Morris, a corporate manager who pressured Robby to improve patient satisfaction scores, otherwise he would have to give up control of his department.

While Robby did not like being questioned, he realized he had to change how he managed the team. Meanwhile, Dr. Collins handled a case involving a pregnant teen, Christie Wheeler, whose mother was forcing her to keep the baby.

This caused a family drama, and Collins tried to help while also thinking about her own pregnancy. The doctor attempted to calm the mother and daughter down but ended up getting shoved during their argument.
