Max's The Pitt gets more intense with each episode as Dr. Robby and his team approach the end of their 15-hour shift.

Episode 11, which covered the 5-6 p.m. shift, saw Dr. Robby reeling from Langdon's exit, which made the ER short-staffed. It remains to be seen what his future will be in the hospital.

Elsewhere, Dana is reeling with trauma of her own after she had a violent encounter with a patient in the previous episode. Still aware of the perils of her profession, she contemplates her future as a nurse.

The episode finally ends with a trigger alert, informing Dr. Robby about a mass shooting in Pittfest, which will likely shape the upcoming hours of his team's shift.

Here is the complete recap of The Pitt Episode 11.

Langdon's exit looms large in The Pitt Season 1 Episode 11

After the shocking revelation in the previous episode about Langdon stealing medicines from the patients, Robby and his team deal with his exit in The Pitt Episode 11. Robby asks Dana to make an audit about Langdon's patients but does not tell her the reason why, which confuses her.

Elsewhere, the gossip about Langdon's sudden exit spreads like wildfire, and everyone speculates on the topic, which worries Dr. Santos, as she does not want to be labeled as a snitch intern.

Tension runs high for Robby as he deals with his short staff in the ER, and Dr. Mohan further triggers him by going behind his back and treating an opioid patient. This drives Robby to the edge as he feels he cannot trust anybody in his team anymore. He is also being triggered by Langdon's continuous calls to him, and his storyline might be resolved in the upcoming episodes.

Robby confronts Collins in The Pitt Season 1 Episode 11

After learning about Collins' miscarriage a few hours back, Robby is extra careful around her and worries for her. But in The Pitt Episode 11, Dr. Collins is thrust into a case that hits a little too hard for her, proving a daunting reminder of her profession.

Robby and Collins get a serious patient who is about to deliver a baby, who is a surrogate for the gay couple that brought her to the hospital. While Collins manages to get the baby out of the woman's womb (after much effort), the baby is stillborn and is not breathing. Realizing the fear of this situation, she puts all her energy into it and finally brings the baby back to life.

Robby, realizing Collins' state after the delivery, goes to confront her, where a crucial part of their past is hinted at. Collins recalls the time when she willingly aborted her baby because she was not ready to become a mother, and it is hinted that Robby was her partner at the time. He consoles her and finally tells them that her partner now understands and forgives her for her actions.

The Pitt Episode 11 recap- Will Dana leave Pittsburgh Hospital?

Dana is still shaken up after her violent incident with Doug, a patient in the previous episode. She looks back at her life as a nurse, discussing with Robby that even after spending 33 years in this profession, she still gets to see horrifying things at work, like her 'war wound from a patient.'

While Robby tries to snap out of this feeling, offering her to go home early, she hints that the incident might be the last straw and she might quit the profession for real. While nothing is confirmed yet, things do not look good for her future.

Just as the episode is about to end, Robby and his team get a message alert about a mass shooting at Pittfest, which will cause chaos and casualties in the ER for Robby in Episode 12.

Catch Episode 12 on Max on March 20, 2025.
