Preview of The Penguin Episode 5

The Penguin Episode 5 is expected to take place after Sofia's brutal slaughter of almost the entire Falcone family. The new trailer shows scenes from the Falcone house, which looks like a crime scene. Here, Sofia is seen looking around at all the damage.

Sofia has undergone an amazing transformation. She started in The Penguin as a bloodless mafia princess, with the ambition and promise of being ready to sit on the Iron Throne. She ended up as a mass murderer who killed most of her family in their sleep, saving only an innocent child and underboss Johnny Vitti for reasons that were never explained.

In the recent trailer for episode 5, Cristin Milioti's villain takes control of the Falcone dynasty, forcing Oz and Victor underground and vowing to take back what's his.

Oz announces his plan to Victor in the recent trailer for The Penguin, saying:

"One family down, one to go."

It seems the Maronis are next on his radar. After all, he had that rather brutal encounter with them outside the Iceberg Lounge.

When Sofia first appears in the series, it is revealed that she has been locked up in Arkham Asylum for 10 years on murder charges. This earns her the nickname "The Executioner." However, her family doesn't give much credence to this, believing that she's just crazy and couldn't possibly run the Falcone business.

Episode 4, titled Cente'Anni, reveals all of Sofia's past. When Sofia was a little girl, she walked into a room to find her mother hanging to the ceiling, but later in life, she knew it was more than that. Sofia talks to a journalist, and she doesn't hesitate to say that her father, Carmine, was involved in her mom's death, as well as the death of one of the other women.

Her driver, Oz, tells her father about her talking to a reporter. Carmine confronts Sofia about it. She talks about her suspicions about her mom's death, and because of that, Carmine has the cops lock her up and frame her for the murder. The media starts calling her "The Hangman." They put her in Arkham Asylum for 6 months until her trial, and she is targeted and attacked by the other inmates.

When Sofia returns from Arkham Asylum, she says she has been rehabilitated but her family continues to portray her as mentally unstable to keep her from becoming the head of the family. However, everyone is shocked when Sofia shows up at the family dinner.

At the dinner, she raises a glass and reminds her family of the murders they accused her of, and how none of them protested on her behalf, except for her brother Alberto. As she raises her glass, she says, "Cent'anni," or "100 years," an expression that means they will all live 100 years.

Later that night, Sofia takes her young cousin, Gia, to the greenhouse with cake. Early in the morning, before Gia wakes up, Sofia is seen walking home wearing a gas mask. Overnight, it is discovered that Sofia has sealed all the doors and windows and filled the house with poisonous gas, killing everyone in the house.
