The Penguin is a recently released miniseries revolving around the Penguin, a DC comic character. A spin-off of The Batman, the series shows audiences how the Penguin rises to influence and takes over the criminal underworld of Gotham City.
The eight-episode series was released on September 19, 2024, and is set a week into the aftermath of The Batman. The plot is centered around the Penguin/ Oswald Cobb/ Oz and is a deeper look into his origin story and introduces the antagonist, Sophia Falcone.

The recurring cast includes Mark Strong as Carmine Falcone, Michael Kelly as Johnny Viti, Scott Cohen as Luca Falcone, Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, and Deirdre O'Connell as Francis Cobb.
Release date and time of The Penguin Episode 2
In the first episode of The Penguin titled, After Hours, audiences see the return of Oz following the death of Carmine Falcone. In the aftermath of Riddler flooding the city and Catwoman killing Carmine Falcone, Oz sees his chance to get to the top of Gotham's criminal underworld.
The first episode takes Oz beyond his signature monocle and umbrella as he guns down Carmine's son, Alberto Falcone. Having no choice but to cover the murder, Oz makes sure to clear his tracks in fear of Sophia Falcone. Sophia Falcone, a psychopathic killer and former Arkham Asylum patient almost gives Oz a hard time in the first episode.
While there is a considerable gap between the release of episodes one and two, from episode three, the HBO miniseries will begin weekly releases. For fans who are curiously awaiting the release of the second episode, the following is a release schedule including the date and time.
What to expect from episode 2 of the HBO series
The second episode of the series is titled, Inside Man. In the first episode, audiences saw Oz kill Alberto Falcone and pin it on Salvatore Maroni. The first episode also sees Oz encounter Victor Aguilar, a teenager who attempts to steal Oz's purple car.
In the first episode, Oz takes Victor under his mentorship and hires him as his driver. In the second episode, audiences can expect to see Sophia Falcone trying to keep her family together after her brother's death. Episode 2 will also see Oz decide to assess Victor.
