While the previous episode of The Old Man Season 2 did not end well for Chase, he survives the finale. The FX drama thriller hinted at Dan Chase's (Jeff Bridges) demise in the penultimate episode of Season 2. However, he is saved by Zoe and taken to a safe place.

The show's finale had its high moments through various characters, but the main question was about Chase's fate. It looks like the CIA agent will live after his lover resurrected him in an abandoned Church!

While Chase believes that Emily is dead, it is Khadija's gunshots he hears, which he mistakes for Emily. Turns out Khadija was killed, and Emily was safe!

Pavlovich's hired gunmen begin their interrogation in Dari and Russian and say that they are looking for 'Hamzad'. While Emily says she is the only 'Hamzad' there, she promises to tell them everything if they leave the others alive.

The gunmen move to the village and capture Emily in a room where she is asked to write down everything she knows. There, she forms a friendship with one of the captors, Pavel, by speaking the little bit of Russian she had learned.

When she directs them to the weapons store, Pavel brings her a bottle of vodka as a thank-you gift from his Captain. He also asks her to formulate a list of potential troublemakers so that they can be executed.

When Pavel shows her a picture of his family, Emily smashes the vodka bottle on his head, and he falls to the floor. He briefly gets up to see all the soldiers dead by Emily's head.

In Hong Kong, Harper, who is still stuck with Marion, learns that the lithium deposit is out of the Russians' control and was taken out by an American woman. Harper asks Marion to consider Emily as an ally, which she denies.

Zoe and Carson keep one man alive to ask for the name of Chase's antidote. Carson finally eliminates Pavlovich, and Zoe takes off to save Chase from the GPS location still on in one of Pavlovich's cars.

Zoe reaches the abandoned church, where Chase is barely breathing. While she cannot find any pulse on him, she injects him with three doses of the antidote, which seems to be doing barely anything for him. Zoe begins giving him CPR, and Chase survives.

Next, Chase wakes up in a safe house with Zoe in the other room. While Chase is still unsure about their safety, Zoe assures him they are secure. As the couple starts to slip into an idyllic life, Chase is still uncertain about the nature of their short-lived respite.

It looks like their quiet existence is short-lived, as they receive a mysterious package containing a flip phone and a slip of paper containing a number.

As it turns out, the mysterious package is from Emily, and Chase is relieved to see his daughter alive. However, Emily is all business as she tells her father that she needs his help to rescue Harper, who had been taken somewhere by Marion.

On insisting on access to Lou Barlow, Chase reveals that Lou is none other than Chase himself, who used this alias to get ugly things done. Emily asks her father to access that identity to rescue Harper.

As the two talk, Chase and Emily see large vans pulling up to escort them to their plane, which Chase is unaware of. While he is angry at Emily, he realizes that she is not Emily anymore and that he is dealing with Parwana Hamzad.

While The Old Man Season 2 finale did not end with jaw-dropping suspense, it was still packed with enough emotion and action. There are undoubtedly new story arcs for the characters, which can be explored in Season 3, should it be renewed.
