The Office US, created by Greg Daniels, is a popular sitcom that has become a staple show for many fans, who re-watch it religiously every now and then. (okay, more now than then!)
One of the funniest running gags on the show is the pranks played by John Krasinski's Jim on Rainn Wilson's Dwight, who falls for them every single time because that's how naive he is.
Seeing Dwight annoyed and basking in misery because of his pranks gets Jim through his time at the office most days. And we are here to give you the Top 5 Jim-Dwight pranks on the show.
We have deliberately left out the most iconic Jell-O prank from the Pilot of The Office US, where Jim puts Dwight's stapler in Jell-O because that is a holy-grail moment in the show and cannot be contained in any list.

Ranking Top 5 Jim-Dwight pranks from The Office US
5) Jim sends Dwight 'Faxes from the future' in The Office US Season 3
One of the most hilarious pranks on The Office US, something that a person as gullible as Dwight can only fall prey to, was when Jim sent him letters from the future Dwight. This was when Jim had left the Scranton branch for a while, but not before taking Dwight's stationery with him. Oh, the commitment!
So, what follows is a humor fest when Jim sends him faxes from 'Future Dwight' detailing what is about to happen. In a hilarious moment, Jim faxes that somebody would poison the coffee in the morning today, and Dwight sees Stanley drinking the coffee, which he goes and heroically spills on the floor, leaving a grumpy Stanley in the morning! (We get you, Stanley! How would anybody behave otherwise if you spill their morning coffee)
4) The 'Thursday-Friday' mix-up
This is another subtle gem of a prank on The Office US, and this deserves a spot on this list because Jim didn't even think of this. Dwight had it coming with this one! When Dwight mistakes today as Friday (when it is actually Thursday), Jim sees an opportunity to marr his otherwise perfect performance review, where he has never been a day late!
He doesn't correct Dwight that tomorrow is Friday and not his day off but subtly keeps referencing his 'Saturday plans' throughout the day in front of Dwight so that he is convinced that tomorrow is, in fact, his day off.
Result? Dwight is late for the first time ever, and he arrives office hours late, unkempt and half-dressed. That would have hurt him badly, we feel!
3) Jim's Christmas present to Dwight in 'Moroccan Christmas'
Even after playing non-stop pranks on each other, nobody can deny that Jim is Dwight's best friend. And do you think he would not give him a Christmas present?
Jim goes all out and wraps Dwight's whole desk (along with his belongings and everything) with red Holiday-themed paper as a prank in the episode Moroccan Christmas.
While Dwight is obviously not happy seeing his desk being turned into Winter Wonderland, Jim's prank does not end there as when Dwight is about to sit on his wrapped chair, the whole desk falls down, showing Jim had just placed wrapped boxes in a desk's shape, creating a hilarious moment.
2) Jim's 'Identity theft' prank in The Office US
This one's quite evident with the name itself, the moment when this legendary meme was born. Jim buys a Dwight Schrute starter pack, including $4 drugstore glasses, a tie from the Salvation Army, a meticulous hair part, and a calculator watch. And Voila! You have transformed yourself into Dwight Schrute.
Jim dresses up as Dwight to annoy him, and John's Dwight impersonation is so spot on that the cast had to take multiple retakes to get through this scene. It easily deserves a high spot in all-over sitcom moments!
1) Asian Jim in The Office US
If there's another moment that can outrank Jim impersonating Dwight, it is this. Jim gets his actor friend Steve (guest star Randall Park) to impersonate himself in front of Dwight.
Steve comes in dressed as Jim, wearing his engagement ring, and baffles Dwight, who argues that Jim is not Asian. To which Steve says, 'Hats off to you for not seeing race.'
Dwight, of course, questioned him about 'his' sale yesterday, and he is updated on everything. Things really get to Dwight when Pam enters, kisses 'Jim,' and confirms their dinner reservation. Oh, Jim! the prankster that you are! And Dwight just sits there, completely baffled, having a 'my life was a lie' moment.
