The Night Agent Season 2 premiered on Netflix on January 23, 2025, with all its 10 episodes dropping together. After the successful first season that came out in 2023, fans had to wait for a long time for the second season, mainly because of production delays caused due to the writers' strike in 2023.

The second season introduced an almost fresh cast barring the main characters, including Rose (Luciane Buchanan) and Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso). Among these bunch of new characters in The Night Agent Season 2, Noor (Arienne Mandi) is an important one who works as an ally of Peter and Rose.

Working for the US Government, Noor has garnered significant attention both from the viewers and the critics. Let us now explore Noor’s character in detail including whether she would be returning for The Night Agent Season 3, which has been confirmed to be happening.

Who is Noor in The Night Agent Season 2?

While Noor is shown to be working at the Iranian embassy in New York, it is soon revealed that she is actually on the side of the US since she is providing the US government with information about Iran.

This duality of Noor, who juggles her loyalty to both nations, adds a layer of depth and intrigue to the character. As her backstory is explored, it is shown that she has her brother and mother back in Iran and since the relationship between her country and the US is not extremely great, she wants to get her family out of there and bring them to her.

However, for that, she needs to offer the government something that would be good enough for them to provide asylum to Noor’s family. When Peter comes to know about Noor and her situation, he decides to use it to their advantage and includes her in the mission of Night Action.

Peter promises Noor that her family will be safely brought to the US with the help of Sami and Catherine, only if she does as they ask her. This brings Noor to provide them with whatever information she can gather at the embassy, which does not seem of much importance until the whole Foxglove situation comes to light.

Given her tricky situation, her relationship with Peter and Rose also becomes complicated as she demands to bring her mother and brother from Iran after helping them to gather intel from the Iranian embassy. Moreover, Rose and Peter also lie to her about her brother Farhad, who was shot by Sami while they were leaving Iran.

However, Noor gets her mother out of Iran safely and the two are shown to be living in Illinois. Besides asylum and social security numbers, when they are also given a check for

“loss or damages suffered in service to the U.S. government”

Noor realizes Farhad is dead. By the end of The Night Agent Season 2, Episode 8, Noor is shown to be somehow coping with her situation better as she thinks of applying to new jobs with Rose’s help.

Will Arienne Mandi’s Noor return in The Night Agent Season 3?

Since there is very limited information available regarding the details of The Night Agent Season 3, it cannot be said with certainty whether the character or Noor will be returning or not. Moreover, The Night Agent seems to be following an anthology format, which explains the introduction of a host of new characters in the second season who were not there in season 1.

If the anthology format is maintained, Noor might not be returning in the third season. However, given how well her character has been received and the possible storylines that can be explored with her show she can come back after all. Regarding Noor’s character, showrunner Shawn Ryan said,

"All my writers came back from set just raving about the job she did, and so I'm certainly open to more of Noor."

While this certainly hints at the possibility of Noor returning, nothing can be said with certainty until there is official confirmation regarding the cast of The Night Agent Season 3.

The Night Agent Seasons 1 and 2 can be streamed on Netflix.
