Before Peter and Alice can call in for an extraction, Alice gets shot in the chest and killed. Peter took no time to understand that it must have been a mole in the department who leaked their location and mission.

Solomon (Berto Colon) and his team who worked for the organization that was tracking the Night Agents tapped into Peter's comm even before the mission began.

In episode 5, we see Jacob Monroe and Solomon tap into the Night Agents' conversation. This led to Alice's death and their failed mission to trap the middleman.

After Alice's death, the Night Action team sent her ashes to her family as a symbol of respect. Unfortunately, her family sent back her ashes. Meanwhile, we see Peter and Catherine, Alice's closest ally spread Alice's ashes.

In earlier scenes, Alice is shown advising Peter to avoid any personal relations due to the threat that their duties could bring to their families. The fact that her ashes were returned by her family means that they were only following Alice's orders.

Brittany Snow's Alice only appeared in Season 2's first episode and some flashback scenes were added in the second episode. However, the sudden death of her in the series has made a void that the showrunners would have to fill in the upcoming seasons.
