The Night Agent Season 2 cast and character guide: Who plays whom in the second season of Netflix's action thriller?

Netflix's The Night Agent, an action-thriller series created by Shawn Ryan is finally back with Season 2, and Peter is back with a new mission.

The show, based on the novels by Matthew Quirk, debuted in March 2023 and became the third-most-watched show on the platform just four days after its release. It was then announced for a second season, and a third season is also on its way.

The Night Agent follows the story of Peter, who is relegated to a Night Action telephone operator in the basement of the White House, where nothing major takes place. Until a call comes, and Peter is embroiled in a world of government conspiracies.

The show's main cast will reprise their respective roles in the sophomore season with some exciting new additions.

1) Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland Jr.

Famous for his roles in Hillbilly Elegy and The Strangers: Chapter 1, Basso is back as FBI Agent Peter, who was working in the basement of the White House during nights, with nothing much to do. But one day, he gets the call, and the rest is history.

The Night Agent Season 2 brings more challenges and conspiracies for Peter as his mission goes global, and is brought to New York to find out who the mole is, and who is selling US intelligence. He also must stop a war criminal before he uses stolen weapons and blow up the UN.

2) Luciane Buchanan as Rose Larkin

Buchanan also reprised her role as Rose, a young tech entrepreneur who is in danger in Season 2 and who will set the events of the sophomore season in motion. After her uncle's home is hunted down, she makes the call for Peter's help and joins him on a mission filled with governmental conspiracies.

Throughout The Night Agent Season 2, her platonic relationship with Peter might also change into something more. Buchanan is best known for her work in The New Legends of Monkey and The Blue Rose.

3) Arienne Mandi as Noor

Mandi plays Noor, a low-level officer who is involved in helping with the Iranian mission to the UN in New York. Just like Peter, she is also a character caught up in this conspiracy, but her priorities lie only with her family.

She aims to trade information by remaining in the good books of the higher-ups and climbing the ladder to secure a better future for herself and her family.

Mandi is best known for her role in NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service and The L Word: Generation Q.

4) Amanda Warren as Catherine Weaver

Warren plays Catherine in The Night Agent Season 2, an experienced Night Action investigative program member tasked with training and supervising all night agents, including the new recruit Peter.

She is a strong woman who will go to any lengths to save her agent's mission, but she will have to earn Peter's trust after his betrayal in Season 1. Warren is best known for her work in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and The Leftovers.
