Fox's musical guessing game, The Masked Singer, is back with its 13th season of celebrities performing behind elaborate costumes while judges and viewers try to deduce their identities.

Since premiering on February 12, The Masked Singer has already unmasked eight contestants from its initial lineup of fifteen masked performers. The panel featuring Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and newcomer Rita Ora has been attempting to identify voices belonging to actors, athletes, musicians, and reality stars.

This season also introduced a mysterious "Lucky Duck" character who provides additional clues throughout the episodes. As we approach the middle of the competition, performers like Boogie Woogie, Coral, Nessy, Mad Scientist Monster, and Pearl remain in the running to succeed season 12 winners Boyz II Men (who performed as Buffalo), while others have already taken their final bows and revealed their true identities.

Who were eliminated from The Masked Singer Season 13 from February to March?

This season of The Masked Singer kicked off with Honey Pot's elimination in the February 12 premiere, revealing comedian Cedric the Entertainer beneath the sweet disguise. The funnyman later explained his motivation for joining the show:

"I had my guys — Kevin Hart did it one year, and then my good friend Anthony Anderson did it last year — and that's what really got me motivated. I was like, okay, I see what it is. This is fun."

The following week saw Fuzzy Peas knocked out of the competition. The costume concealed Olympic gold medalist and boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya, who previously reached the semifinals on The Masked Dancer.

Oscar De La Hoya walked into the competition with some confidence thanks to his past singing experience—he once released an album and was even nominated for a Grammy. But once he heard the other contestants warming up backstage, he quickly realized he was up against some serious vocal talent. While he knew he couldn’t compete with the golden voices around him, he embraced the experience for what it was: a fun, unexpected challenge outside the boxing ring.

"I was like, ‘What the hell am I doing here? These guys can sing!’” he shared in a recent interview with Variety.

February continued with Ant's elimination on the 26th. Former Danity Kane member and reality star Aubrey O'Day was revealed as the contestant behind the insect mask.

March began with Bat flying out of the competition on the 5th. Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay was unmasked, adding another reality personality to the season's roster of celebrities.

The March 12 episode of The Masked Singer featured Space Ranger's elimination, unveiling Grammy-nominated rapper and reality TV personality Flavor Flav. Despite his short stint, the hip-hop icon expressed disappointment about his early exit.

"I wish that they didn't give me away so easy, because I did want to last on that show a little bit longer because this is a show that's been on my bucket list to do," Flav admitted.

Explaining:

"I was stoked to be able to get out on that stage and hype up the world."

Perhaps the most emotional unmasking came on March 19 when Griffin was eliminated, revealing Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek. His unmasking featured a touching moment when his six children joined him onstage.

Van Der Beek shared the backstory:

"I heard the other two singers in dress rehearsal two days before filming and I immediately called my wife. I said, 'I don't think I'm making it out of this round, babe. These two singers are phenomenal. So if there's any way you can get the kids out here, I think tomorrow is going to be my last day.'"

The actor described the surprise of seeing his children run onto the stage:

"When Nick [Cannon] said, 'Why don't you tell them yourself?' and they all ran out, I was just thrilled. Just so good to see them and have them up there and be able to put my big lion paws around them."

March concluded with Cherry Blossom's elimination on the 26th, unmasking Full House star Candace Cameron Bure. Her participation in The Masked Singer carried special significance related to her late co-star Bob Saget, who previously competed as Squiggly Monster.

"I was so scared to do it. Every time they asked, I'm just like, nope, nope, no thanks," she explained.

Elaborating further:

"But Bob made the show so special to me. That was the first time I ever watched The Masked Singer, and I had no idea he was on it. And I just saw this first performer come out, the Squiggly Monster, and I heard one note and I was like, 'That's Bob. It's Bob. Oh my gosh.' So yeah, it just connected me and endeared me to the show."

Recent departures in April

April brought three more unmaskings on The Masked Singer, starting with Stud Muffin on the 2nd. The pastry-themed costume concealed rapper Method Man, adding another musical talent to the season's lineup of reveals.

While filming his clue package, Method Man explained why he was all in on his Masked Singer alter ego, Stud Muffin. He joked that the name fit, thanks to his longtime muffin top, and said being a mascot has always been his dream job.

"You get people pumped up and nobody knows who you are so that's why I'm here as Stud Muffin to rep my team," he explained.

The following week saw Yorkie eliminated on April 9, revealing Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, singer, and actress Erika Jayne behind the small dog costume.

Matthew Lawrence, known for Mrs. Doubtfire and Boy Meets World, was revealed as the Paparazzo on the April 16 episode of The Masked Singer, making his exit from the competition. His appearance followed in the footsteps of his brother Joey Lawrence, who previously performed as Walrus in Season 8. This time, Matthew one-upped him by lasting longer on the show, a fact that didn’t go unnoticed by Joey, who joked about his brother getting to sing more songs than he did.

"He was like, man, I can't believe you got to go on and sing more than I did," Matthew shared with EW.

As the competition continues, The Masked Singer viewers are still trying to identify Boogie Woogie, Coral, Nessy, Mad Scientist Monster, Pearl, and the mysterious Lucky Duck. The latter has been teased as having a "very special connection to someone on the show" and will be unmasked at the season's conclusion.

With the field narrowed to half its original size, the mystery and competition intensify each week as the remaining contestants vie for the coveted Golden Mask Trophy.
