The Masked Singer Season 12 Finale aired on December 18, 2024, on Fox, revealing the much-awaited winner. The reality show featured finalists, including The Wasp and Buffalos.

As the identities were revealed, Buffalos turned out to be the boyband Boyz II Men, who won the reality show. The Wasp's identity was also revealed, and it was Mario, the pop singer.

Some fans might already know the Boyz II Men group from many of their performances and songs. For The Masked Singer Season 12, the group of Wanya Morris, Nathan Morris, and Shawn Stockman won the show. They are a Grammy-winning R&B group.

With a decades-long career and many popular songs such as I'll Make Love to You, End of the Road, On Bended Knee, and more - Boyz II Men is a renowned name in the industry.


The Masked Singer Season 12 winner: Bufffalos' aka Boyz II Men

The highly anticipated finale of The Masked Singer Season 12 unveiled the two finalists' identities. Pop singer Mario came out of The Wasp's constume while Buffalos' constume was Boyz II Men bandmates.

As the show's finale revealed, Buffalos, aka Wanya Morris, Nathan Morris and Shawn Stockman - first-ever group winners were crowned winners.

Before announcing the group as the winner, the panelists, Rita Ora, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Robin Thicke, were asked to guess the finalists' identities. All the panelists agreed as they suspected from the Buffalos' finale performance; they all thought them to be the R&B group Boyz II Men.


The Masked Singer Season 12 finale: What happened in episode 12?

Both the finalists performed for the last time on The Masked Singer stage. The Wasp's first performance was When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars, followed by another performance. It was I'm Your Baby Tonight by Whitney Houston.

As for Buffalos, they performed Gotye's Somebody That I Used to Know, followed by Too Good at Goodbyes by Sam Smith. As the panelist Rita Ora revealed, their second performance felt like:

"Those harmonies make you feel like you're walking through the gates of heaven."

Upon getting such a compliment, one of the three Buffalos got emotional and shared:

"It's so freeing, I'm crying right now. I don't even know why! This has made me feel that, with these guys, we can do anything."

Buffalos, aka Boyz II Men opened up about their participation in The Masked Singer Season 12

As revealed during the group's December 18, 2024, interview with Gold Derby, they tried to "sabotage" their initial participation.

Referring to that, bandmate Nathan Morris shared:

"We were trying to sabotage the whole thing from the beginning. We were either going to sing like us so they would find out or sing like s***. One of the two, so they would say, 'Get them out of here!' "

Boyz II Men fans might be aware of the group's biopic, which the news broke last month. It is in collaboration with Primary Wave and Compelling Pictures, which, as Wanya stated, "fans will be surprised by everything."

Continuing on the subject, Nathan Morris added,

"There's people in our hometown that don't even know the story. You saw all the videos. We had the collegiate sweaters and the hats. A lot of people think we come from money and we come from dirt. Just knowing that people that lived in our own vicinity never even knew tells you that the whole world has absolutely no idea."

Referring to their historical win, Wanya shared that after 33 years of being together in the band, they have made history as the first group to win The Masked Singer.
