Amazon Prime Video’s most expensive series to date, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is gearing up for its momentous grand finale with the big war of Middle Earth in focus.
If the events of the 6th episode of the second season are any indication, the show is now building up towards the big war that would initiate chaos in the realms of middle earth.
Episode 6 of the show, titled Where is He, delves deeper into the world of Numenor and Khazad-dum and how things are always rapidly changing for the good guys in Middle earth.
With the power shift in Numenor and the manipulation of Adar’s army by Sauron to plan the siege of Eregion, the journey to the finale promises to be a roller-coaster ride.
The penultimate episode of the eight- episode second season is scheduled to premiere on 26th September.
Release date and time of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2, Episode 7
The previous episodes of the sophomore season concentrated on how Celebrimbor was manipulated and persuaded by the dark lord Sauron in making 9 rings for men.
However, in this episode, the audience got an in-depth glimpse for the first time on the master plan of Sauron beginning with Eregion’s fall.
For the fans and audience who are curious about how exactly will Sauron’s evil plan play out and whether Galadriel and Adar will be able to stop Sauron’s evil scheme, episode 7 will be available to watch in just a few hours.
Below is a table concerning the release time of the episode in different time zones:
The penultimate episode of the second season, much like the other episodes, will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, following the weekly release pattern, like its other acclaimed shows like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Boys.
The finale will be available to stream from 3rd October 2024.
What Happened in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 Episode 6 and what to expect from Episode 7
Now that Valandil is dead, all eyes are on Elendil as he has been imprisoned and being blamed as the main conspirator for the uprising. Further, King Durin has become mentally unstable and has been ordering his people to continue their search for gold by digging deeper.
This is now becoming increasingly clear and certain after the events of episode 6 that Sauron has the ultimate control over every event in Middle earth and all the other characters are just helpless cogs in the grand scheme of things.
The ending moments of the sixth episode has depicted one of the darkest moments of the show till date. The episode shows that the orcs are now reaching close to Eregion and planning their attack.
The siege alarm is rang around the city, signaling impending attack. Following that, Celebrimbor asks Sauron about the alarm and Sauron shows him with his powers that nothing concerning has happened in Eregion and everything is normal.
However, the reality is different. The audiences can see in the final minutes of episode 6 that the siege of Eregion is in motion and Sauron is a step closer to accomplishing his mission.
Whereas the sixth episode might feel like a filler episode of sorts, it sets up the stage for the upcoming battle between absolute power and the heroes of the story who are clueless about how to save their world from impending doom, that will hopefully be unfolded in episode 7.
Episode 7 will also bring into focus the characters of Galadriel, Arondir, Adar and Elrond and look at whether they can work together to defeat Sauron and save Middle earth by putting aside their differences.
After weeks of build-up, fans might finally see some terrific battle sequences in the Amazon series that might remind one of the battle sequences in the original film trilogy.
You can stream all episodes of season 1 and episodes 1-6 of season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Prime Video.
