In the aftermath of season 1, Galadriel discovers that Halbrand is really the Dark Lord Sauron. Galadriel enlists the help of Elrond and High King Gil-galad to take down Sauron.
The trio rushes to stop him before he uses the Elven Smith Celebrimbor to bring about the end of the world. The episodes yet to be released may explore the Siege of Eregion and the reveal of The Stranger's true identity.
Is the series renewed for a third season?
If you are worried that the series will end after this season, rest assured that this season will definitely not be the last time you see Middle-earth. Amazon initially intended to create five seasons of the show and has confirmed that it will release the seasons as planned.
