In his Annatar disguise, Sauron meets Galadriel on the outskirts of Eregion. Galadriel battles Sauron and kicks him off a small hill. As Galadriel begins to come out on top of the fight, Sauron uses his disguise as Halbrand to weaponize Galadriel's attachment and use it against her.

Galadriel faces Sauron for the first time after what went down in the season 1 finale in the finale of season 2. To defeat Galadriel, Sauron shapeshifts from his Annatar disguise to his Halbrand disguise. He even wears the armor he wore when they both left Numenor.
After Halbrand's true identity is revealed, the series shows Galadriel, who is now forced to come to terms with it. In previous episodes, audiences saw Galadriel grow close to Halbrand.
Galadriel is an Elven warrior searching for Sauron, the dark lord and creator of One Ring. Determined to fight against the Dark Lord Sauron, Galadriel chooses to battle Sauron even though he mocks her with Halbrand's disguise, a face she once trusted.
