In The Leopard, Fabrizio's dynasty was doomed from the beginning as he was thrust into a world of political and social change. Not only did his favorite nephew, Tancredi, stand against his philosophies, but Fabrizio finally realized that he was in an unfaithful marriage at the ball.

He was already on a path to doom in the show's finale, but little did his family know that he was actually dying. The finale revealed that he had kept his worsening health a secret from his family, which was uncovered after he collapsed at the ball.

It was finally revealed that he had a brain tumor, which sealed his fate for the finale. Moreover, he was too disheartened to see his family name gone and did not wish to live. In the already changing political times, he knew his family would lose their position after his death because his eldest son was not ready to be a Prince.

He asks Concetta to secure their family name and dies in the show's finale.

Did Concetta save her family land from Sedara in The Leopard finale?

Sedara, Tancredi's father-in-law, was a man opposite to Fabrizio, who made his own way to power during the socioeconomic tide. His plan to marry Angelica with Tancredi was a move to secure Corbera's ancient land by using Tancredi's influence on Fabrizio.

After The Leopard's death, it seemed like he would be successful in his political strategy and gain control over Fabrizio's land, but not on Concetta's watch. While his brother, who was supposed to become the next Prince, was incompetent, she was more versed with the ways of the world.

While Sedara and Concetta race against each other to buy Corbera's family land, Concetta cunningly persuades Tancredi to fund her purchase. He uses his wife's family's (Sedara) money to fund the transaction, and Concetta successfully secures her family's old land back to them.

What became of Concetta and Tancredi's relationship in The Leopard?

Concetta and Tancredi were both destined for a romance in The Leopard, as they had visible attraction for each other in their youth. However, Tancredi was swayed away when he married Angelica for her beauty and connections.

While Tancredi was the most compatible with Concetta, he had nothing in common with Angelica, which eventually turned their marriage unfaithful. After reconnecting with Concetta at the ball, he wished to pursue his relationship with her.

On the other hand, dejected by Tancredi, Concetta decides to marry Count Bombello. But when she kisses Tancredi at the ball, she realizes she cannot enter into a loveless marriage with the Count. Moreover, her father's worsening health also forced her to reconsider her move with the Count, and she calls off her marriage with him.

In The Leopard finale, she asks for Tancredi's help and friendship but does not wish to begin a romantic relationship with him. Instead, she focuses her wits on securing her family's name in the changing world.
