Bex and her team were after this peculiar serial killer who originally only targeted couples. He had murdered 16 couples so far, and the police were able to find the husbands' bodies, but the females were nowhere to be found, assuming that Roy used a different method of disposal for them.

Bex learns about Roy's childhood, where he grew up in an abusive home, where his father murdered his mother and made it look like a suicide. Roy found solace in art and eventually went on with his killing spree. He also took on a job as a sketch artist with the police, where he was able to keep track of his murders and escape.

In The Hunting Party, Episode 5, Bex learns that Roy has taken his first killer, a woman named Crystal, and her husband. It turns out that she was the last victim he took before ending up in jail, where he killed her first husband.

Bex makes a breakthrough with Roy's art in The Hunting Party Episode 5

Confused about how Crystal can be alive, Bex decides to take a look at Roy's art in The Hunting Party Episode 5. He has made drawings of all his victims, where the men seem young and do not age. But the women seem to be aging.

With this particular detail, Bex concludes that Roy never killed the wives, but only their abusive husbands. Thinking that he is saving them, he helped these women plan their husbands' murders and get away from it, making it look like Roy also murdered them.

But since Crystal remarried and started a new life, something that his mother couldn't, Roy feels cheated and is now out to take revenge on all the women he 'saved' in the past.

Bex and the team close in on Roy in The Hunting Party Episode 5

After making this connection to Roy's past 'victims,' Bex's team learns that he had taken his second victim, Linda, who was initially Trisha when Roy murdered her first husband. The team arrives too late as Roy is forcing Linda to kill her second husband, too.

But Bex's team manages to take control of the situation and arrest him. They also learn that he was being aided by his past victim, Wendy, and Bex used this information to gather intel on all the women Roy 'saved' in the past because they were also in on the murders of their husbands and should be put behind bars.
