Brenda Lowe is shown to be a killer with a strange motive in The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 3
The third episode of The Hunting Party opens with an unnamed woman asking for a ride from a man. While many viewers would think that the woman might end up the victim here, it is soon revealed that she is Brenda, a dangerous killer who has escaped The Pit.
Brenda Lowe has 17 murders to her name, according to the official count, though authorities believe she might had killed more. However, what sets her apart from the criminals shown on the show so far is her motive to kill.
Brenda is a person who deeply cares about the environment and believes that human beings are the biggest reasons for the destruction of nature. Thus, she kills people mercilessly and without any apparent pattern.
It is also revealed that Brenda used to live in the wilderness with a bunch of wolves she had taken as pets. The wolves devoured a number of her victims. However, as Bex gets deeper into the case to track down Brenda, she comes to know that the latter was fed wrong information at The Pit.
The Pit authorities had told Brenda that her firm and animals were safe, which was false. After escaping, Brenda discovers the truth, which leaves her more unhinged. In turn, she goes on a killing spree.
The Pit authorities mention that though they were aware of their unethical ways, they had no idea that Brenda could escape. They insist their ways were for her own good.
Eventually, Bex and the team successfully track down Brenda. After a confrontation with Bex, Brenda breaks down when the former points out that Brenda probably never cared for the animals and the land, and only used them as excuses to justify her killings. These words affect Brenda and she lets her guard down, and the team, in turn, successfully nabs her.
Hassani and Oliver doubt each other in The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 3
This episode of The Hunting Party also shows troubles getting worse between Hassani and Oliver, as both of them are shown to be suspecting the other of something. For starters, Oliver talks to Bex about his doubts regarding Hassani and his abilities.
Hassani on the other hand tells Bex that he finds the two-year black-out phase in Oliver’s file troubling, as nothing about him during that time could be traced. When Bex does not take this seriously, Hassani shows her a video of Oliver transferring confidential files to his flash drive after receiving a call from someone on a burner phone.
While Bex does not really buy the theory, it is later shown that Oliver does give the flash drive to someone, which hints at the involvement of someone more powerful in all this.
The Hunting Party can be streamed on Peacock.
