The gripping crime TV series The Hunting Party Season 1 has wrapped up after a ten-episode run. Unlike typical crime shows, this one dives deep into the dangerous world of fugitive tracking, and the criminals involved are far from just any lawbreakers.

They are some of the most notorious and dangerous serial killers ever captured who have now escaped from a top-secret prison that was never supposed to exist in the first place. As the series begins, there's a massive explosion at an underground prison hidden somewhere in the remote landscape of Wyoming.

As previously mentioned, this secret facility was completely off the grid, but the explosion allowed the criminals to run away. Their escape results in chaos and fear as they vanish into the world.

In response, authorities bring in Bex Henderson, a former FBI profiler who had stepped away from active duty. She’s called back into service to help lead a specialized team made up of experts from different backgrounds, including intelligence officers, former prison guards, and agents from various government agencies.

As seen in The Hunting Party Season 1, Bex teams up with a highly skilled CIA agent, Jacob Hassani, who accompanies her in the mission. As the quest begins, Jacob and Bex are tasked with handling the chaos while also guiding their team.

The Hunting Party Season 1’s finale reveals the disturbing truth behind the mysterious drug GWB-45. Originally created to increase empathy in serial killers as part of a secret medical program, the military hijacked the research to do the opposite.

They wanted to suppress empathy and build soldiers who felt no guilt in battle. This change turned a risky cure into a dangerous weapon. Colonel Eve Lazarus drops this bombshell on Bex: James Whitmore, obsessed with his research, helped unleash the chaos at the Pit and even murdered his own team to keep the project going.

Jenna Wells, a killer with zero empathy in The Hunting Party Season 1, becomes the ultimate test subject. But the drug worked too well. Jenna’s empathy spiked so high that she started becoming the people she fixated on before murdering them. This leads to a horrific attack at Whitmore's party, where Jenna poisons guests and kills Whitmore using a toxic patch.
