All six episodes of Netflix's mystery crime drama, The Glass Dome, were released on April 15, 2025. Helmed by the duo Lisa Farzaneh and Henrik Bjorn, this Swedish series delves deep into the themes of familial relationships, childhood trauma, betrayal, and past secrets. Set in a fictional town in Sweden, Granas, this series taps into key issues, including corruption, racism, and class inequality.

The story follows a criminologist/behaviourist, Lejla, who returns to her home in Granas after the death of her adoptive mother. What was supposed to be a short visit turned out to be a nightmare when her friend Louise was found dead, and her daughter, Alicia, went missing. However, as Lejla tries to uncover the web of secrets to find the missing girl, she gets entangled in her past traumas.

Created by the popular screenwriter and crime author Camilla Lackberg, here's the list of the star-studded cast who are part of the mystery crime thriller.

1)Leonie Vincent as Lejla Ness

Born on November 16, 1994, in Stockholm, the 30-year-old Swedish actress is well known for her roles in Faithless, Djur, and Harmonica. Vincent takes on the captivating role of Lejla Ness, a criminologist who makes her way back to her childhood town, Granas, after the death of her adoptive mother. However, her trip turns to a nightmare when she gets entangled in a missing child case that mirrors her traumatic past.

The popular Swedish actor and voice artist is well known for his craft in Asterix and the Big Fight, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and other animated series. Hedenberg plays the role of Valter Ness, Lejla's adoptive father and Granas' ex police commissioner. Initially, Valter Ness appears to be a protective and caring father figure, but as the story unfolds, Valter's true motives and secrets are revealed. Hedenberg's portrayal of Valter as both a father and an evil villain is a treat to watch.


3) Johan Rheborg as Tomas Ness

Born on June 5, 1963, Carl Johan Rheborg is a popular Swedish comedian, script writer, and actor. Rheborg is also a part of Killingganget, a popular Swedish comedy group that was started by Henrik Schyffert. Some of his notable project includes Solsidian, Carmen Curlers, Nova & Alice, and Partisan.

Johan Rheborg plays Tomas Ness, the Granas police chief and Valter Ness's estranged brother. Even though he has a successful career, his professional and personal life are often disturbed due to his traumatic childhood.


4) Minoo Andacheh as Alicia

Minoo Andacheh plays the role of Alicia, Lejla's friend, Louise, and her ex, Said's daughter, who is kidnapped. Despite a short screentime, the newcomer Andacheh delivers a striking performance that beautifully captures the innocence and fear, which almost mirrors Lejla's childhood.

  • Seraphine Krystek as Young Lejla
  • Cecilia Nilsson as Ingrid, a Granas town resident
