The Eternaut brings forth a chilling narrative: death comes not with the cause of war or monsters, but in the form of snowflakes. The show is based on a grapphic novel/comics penned by Oesterheld with illustrations done by Solano López.

With an unusual snowstorm moving through Buenos Aires and taking out anyone who is seen outside, Netflix’s latest sci-fi drama attacks ordinary people taking them into chaos that is extraordinary.

1] Ricardo Darín as Juan Salvo

At the heart of The Eternaut is Juan Salvo, a regular guy required to become accustomed in a frightening new reality.

Portrayed by Argentine actor Ricardo Darín, Salvo turns out to be the hesitant leader amid a small circle of toughies and survivors after the snowstorm starts its deadly origin.

Darín, often addressed as Argentina’s leading man, offers a grounded strength to Salvo—a character steering a crumpling world while trying to unite with his daughter.

The role stresses on both being able to showcase vulnerability as well as being resilient, and Darín conveys both with quiet expertise.

2] Carla Peterson as Elena

Portraying the role of Elena in The Eternaut, Salvo’s ex-wife, Carla Peterson adds emotional heaviness to the evolving calamity.

Their edgy relationship is put to the test by this catastrophe, offering more than just surface-level risks.

Peterson, known for her strong charisma in Latin American film and television, brings a level of intricacy to Elena—a woman frayed between anxiety, love, and endurance. Her dynamic with Darín’s Salvo underlines the human cost of the disaster at the show’s core.

3] César Troncoso as Alfredo Favalli

Troncoso plays Alfredo Favalli in The Eternaut. Troncoso is an inventive mate whose apartment converts into the group’s first sheltered haven.

As an early responder to the developing terror, Favalli’s character offers both methodical vision and tactical thinking. Troncoso, a Uruguayan actor with a wide-range in filmography, balances Favalli’s tranquil demeanor with the perseverance of a man straining to keep everyone alive.

4] Andrea Pietra as Ana

Andrea Pietra takes on the role of Ana in The Eternaut as Favalli’s partner and one of the first characters met with the new fatal reality.

Her character adds complexity to the story where poker nights and whiskey swiftly turn into fight-or-flight choices. Pietra’s performance aids ground the early disarray in realism and emotive truth.

Clara, the daughter of Juan and Elena, is more than a narrative/plot device—she’s the very core of Salvo’s journey in The Eternaut.

Mora Fisz depicts Clara with a susceptibility that makes her absence felt all the way through Juan’s frantic search. Although her screen time might be limited, her role oils much of the show’s emotive drive, fastening Salvo’s task with personal risks.


6] Marcelo Subiotto as Lucas

Lucas, played by Marcelo Subiotto in The Eternaut, is one of the old friends assembled at Favalli’s home when the snow-storm begins. Lucas is symbolic of any average person wedged in strange conditions, and Subiotto deals with the role with modest nuance.

7] Ariel Staltari as Omar

In a show that is quiet substantial with fear and choice-making, Ariel Staltari’s Omar gets on a clear-cut energy to the table in The Eternaut.

Created precisely for the series, Omar is placed as a kind of audience replacement — inquisitive, observant, reacting. Staltari, who also co-wrote the series, outlines Omar as someone who tests the groups dynamic and puts on a required layer of cynicism to the story.

8] Orianna Cárdenas as Inga

Inga is an original character made solely for the purpose of The Eternaut Netflix adaptation. Orianna Cárdenas gets on some newness and anonymity to the role.

While not as expanded out as the others, Inga’s presence in the show hints at growing dynamics and secreted drives among the other survivors.

9] Claudio Martínez Bel as Polsky

Claudio Martínez Bel steps into the role of Polsky in The Eternaut, another of Salvo’s close friends. Though a minor character, Polsky’s exchanges with the group focus on the fluctuating groupings and sensitive toll of survival.

His role aids in shaping the social structure of the group and put emphasis on the show’s focus on how people cope in different ways with trauma.

The Eternaut balances science fiction with severe human drama, and its cast echoes this balance.
