The Eastern Gate is a thoroughly political show with the title referring to the Suwałki Gap, which stands on the border between Poland and Lithuania and is quite a critical spot.

Both Lithuania and Poland are NATO members and the Suwałki Gap is considered as one of Europe’s three major hotspots, which are critical when it comes to maintaining stability within the region and also protecting the eastern flank of NATO.
