More on The Dragon Prince Season 6 in our story.
Callum and Rayla got back together in The Dragon Prince Season 6
Callum and Rayla visit the skyscraper in search of the Nova Blade, where the Celestial Elves tell them that the blade is no longer there. They also learn that the blade can only kill Aavaros' mortal form, and his spirit can still return to create havoc.
The Elves see power within Callum and Rayla and say they are the chosen ones and can melt the heart of the beast captured there. But when they reach in front of the beast, Rayla sees a cute pet in the morning for its owner, and she pets her, metaphorically melting its heart and completing the task.
For their bravery, the elves present them with the only three Quasar Diamonds in the world that can save Rayla's family. They also see darkness around Callum's future because of his temptation towards black magic, which can only be kept under check with Rayla by his side because she is his guiding light.
They are finally made a couple, which restores our faith in Callum's future in The Dragon Prince Season 7.
Why is Aaravos hellbent on taking revenge? Exploring the cliffhanger for The Dragon Prince Season 6
It is no surprise that The Dragon Prince Season 7 is said to be the darkest season of the series. Looking back at the cliffhanger of Season 6, which meant a dire future for the people of Xandia, this seems apt.
After Viren sacrifices himself to make the Katalois' survivors immune to the dragon fire, his daughter Claudia is grief-stricken and wants revenge.
She meets Aaravos' prison in the Season 6 finale, who tells her about his daughter Leola, who loved humans and would spend most of her time with the humans of Xandia than heaven, with her Startouch Elves by her side.
In her love for the humans, she gifts them primal stones so that they can also cast spells and magic, but a young Sol Rogem informs this to the Startouch Elves, and Leola is sentenced to Death and turned into starlight, creating the Sea of the Castout.
Aaravos has spent 100 years filling the sea with his tears and hiding his prison underwater, but he knows now is the time to avenge his daughter's death. Moved by his story and filled with her revenge, Claudia uses Callum's spell and frees Aaravos from his prison, who vows to unleash the spirits of the dead over Xandia and seek his revenge.
With Aaravos now free and the heroes powerless to stop him, The Dragon Prince is heading toward an epic and shocking finale. The Dragon Prince Season 7 is now streaming on Netflix.
