The Diamond Heist is an upcoming Netflix series by Guy Ritchie. The director cum producer is renowned for his distinctive storytelling in films like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, and the Sherlock Holmes series.
He is now venturing into true crime documentaries. And his latest project, The Diamond Heist is going to have three parts, or three episodes. The series is going to come out on Netflix on the 16th of April this year.
The Diamond Heist is going to take us inside the 2000 Millennium Dome diamond robbery attempt. It is considered to be one of British history's biggest failed robberies.

The Diamond Heist: Release date and cast

As mentioned above, the series will be out for us to watch on Netflix on April 16, 2025.
The series will show what happened in that heist through the lens of the thieves involved, as well as law enforcement officers. A gang of thieves had planned to steal the priceless Millennium Star Diamond.
Their plan was to use a JCB digger to breach the Dome's walls. They also planned to escape the scene with the help a speedboat. Well, this almost sounds like a movie scene. But it actually happened in real life. And that's what the series will take us through.

The series is written and directed by Jesse Vile. Guy Ritchie is the executive producer along with Suzanne Lavery.

The trailer mostly shows Lee Wenham recalling the incident. He explains how that was supposed to be his last job and how everything was planned.
However their scheme was thwarted by an extensive undercover police operation which led to their immediate arrest. Nonetheless, towards the end of the trailer, Wenham is seen commenting on the cops.
